Hey guys, I'm running the AVO 3 inch turbo back. Didn't have any dramas with fitment at all, straight bolt up (RHD car as well).
I did have some weld quality issues though, we went through and cleaned up a bunch of splatter and burrs on the flanges and inside the welds. Nothing serious, just needed a quick run over with a grinder. For the price of the pipes though I would have expected them to be cleaned up nicely, especially the ceramic coated pieces.

Hey guys. Just a heads up...heat wrap your over pipe or this rubber joint will melt. I think it's connected to the sway bar? Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1404128166.392310.jpg

Swaybar bush. I'd be more worried about your CV joint. I heat wrapped my overpipe a long time ago with bulk aluminized turbo heatshield.

Been a while but forgot to check back. What were temps like on the track with the FBM? Also, do you have a fog light in the way or did you install a vent?

Thanks!

After heatsoak set in, the Temps were marginally better than not having one. I made an exhaust vent in the fender liner and an intake duct in front of the intercooler end tank and now it's 1000 better. I need to do 4 or 5 hard laps before I see 250ish and the it maxes out. Drops down after significantly on cool down laps

I would highly recommend an exhaust and intake vent

Thanks for the info. That's what I needed to know. I don't want to take out my fog light so I guess I'll go a different route. I know the robispec was difficult but possible.

What did you use to secure it to the liner? Does water or dirt get in there?

Self tapping screws, plastic glue and silicone.

I guess some water will get in but it would be coming in the front too

Yo AVO people.

I have placed my order with Bob @ The Drift Office and will soon be joining the ranks of AVO owners.

I should have my stage 2 AVO with a stage 3 segmented clutch back in my hands in about 3 weeks.

Looking forward to hitting the gas!

Wow, that's a lot of clutch for a Stage 2 AVO kit.

You should maybe think of investing in some axles for when then snap lol

But in all seriousness, congrats on the purchase I've put a bunch of KM on mine on and off the track and it's an absolute blast

I was also down at Brainerd Internationals road course last week and can say with certainty that temperatures were significantly better with the exhaust vent. Previously, it would only take a couple of hot laps to peg the temps at about 260 or so and sometimes creep even higher.

After putting a small exhaust vent in, it took probably 6+ laps to get to similar temps but I couldn't get it any hotter. It would also drop about 30 degrees over 1 cool down lap and idling back to the pits. This did not happen before the exhaust vent.

For the next revision of venting, I'll be getting some thin aluminium and making a shroud for the front of the cooler and then using 2 of these side by side to get more exhaust vent coverage. They are 3" in diameter

PS: In case anyone else is thinking of experimenting with this, the fender liners are super cheap.
