Everything fits tight. On the last kit we had to reclock the compressor housing to get everything lined up correctly

I managed to get everything on. It fits very tightly. I think at some point in the future I may shave the electrical connector brackets off the headlights. It looks like that will open up a significant amount of room with no real structural penalty.

If you can take some pics and post the. Yes every thing is tight but we have not had to trim anything other then the washer bottle. If the compressor housing is turned to far one way it makes things really tight.

I need help. Somewhere in the forum someone said they had the AVO kit, listed the parts being used and said they were using a NON-AVO Actuator. I had asked that person which actuator they had but I don't think I ever got a response and I can't find the post for the life of me.

Anyone here remembers who is it? I want a 12 psi spring. Thanks.

Quick impression of the kit.

Some instructions were not clear. Pictures were different from some parts (oil pump pic has a 90 degree elbow when the kit didn't come with it.)

Intercooler was dented in at one of the hanging mount. Outside of box looked in good condition, so the kit needs to be packed a bit better to keep from damage. I was able to hammer the intercooler bracket back straight to install it.

DEFINITELY check the pre-installed parts. I totally forgot to check them before installing and it was a pain looking for leaks.

Once installed, the car is definitely more fun to drive!
Overall impression? Satisfactory - Good price - Packing problems - Boost is fun!

Would like to know what you did for the cover for this area right below the IC?

Should I trim the cover or should the IC mounting be adjusted?

Once installed, the bumper does not align perfectly.

You se the stock under tray. It you re having a hard time getting it lined you then loosen the impact beam and pull up on it as you tighten it up. Secondly make sure you have the IC up all the way. All the stock parts fit back in place. The side air panels (behind the grill) need a touch of a trim to fit. YOU NEED ALL OF THOSE PARTS TO KEEP YOUR CAR COOL, in both FI and NA.

Let me know if you need more help

Turbosmart has one that looks like it will bolt up to our kit. I looked up adjustable waste gates actuator and for a few more but that is the one that catches my eye. I believe Paul has a 12 psi actuator. See as you are now starting to play in the stock wrx/evo psi areas

Yes, I have MBC but as a rule of thumb, you dont' want to go double the boost your spring holds with the MBC, so since I am running right at the limit, (16 is double of the spring 8), I would like to get a 12 psi spring to be able to control the boost better.

Wow, sorry i missed you're up to 16psi now. Are you still on stock internals? Btw, the 8 is already upgraded spring, isn't it?

There was an intersting thread on NASIOC suggesting "simply buying sime springs at home depot and stretching them across the wastegate arm"

@AVOturboworld what is the price of the 12 psi actuator, is it in stock? You can PM me if preferd.

Yes, stock internals and E85. Very interesting this upgrdaded spring discussion. I have a 5 psi actuator at home, might try adjusting the spring on that and see results.

Edit: It's not what I had in mind. I thought it was replacing the spring inside the actuator. It looks ghetto as it is...

turbosmart has universal actuators that range from 10-14 psi

It's the same price as the 8psi actuators, actually. I'll talk to the factory and see if they can get me some asap.

Only issue is going to be the length of the arm, and mounting it up to the bracket. Not major issues, just something to look out for.
