I'm running 0w-30. YMMV. It gets complicated if you try to find the perfect oil, it doesnt exist.
Read here and don't overthink it. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44900

I've done some experimentation with different oils, from motul to mobil 1 to Driven. Also did different weights, from the OEM 0w20 to Motul 10w40, all full synthetic. Currently doing testing on the Driven 0w20 and 5w20 full synthetic race oils with high zinc. I've put about 3000 miles on the Driven, and the oil in the car is still rather clean. In comparison, the OEM 0w20 was black and loose after about 3000 miles.
I've gone back and forth a bit on what exact weight to run, but right now I'm swinging back towards running a 0w20 or 5w20 for street use. If you are going to be tracking it extensively, or are in extreme heat conditions, heavier weight oil is certainly viable - or just do shorter oil change intervals. |

I heard a lot of reports of cavitation based bearing damage from running overweight oils on Fb20s over the past couple years so we decided on the eneos sustina 0w20. My car sees heavy combined street & track use with peak oil temp with a cooler of ~120c.

Could you elaborate on this please? If the Wastegate was too small, wouldn't boost creep upwards at higher RPM? If you are loosing boost, could it be due to a boost leak, or possibly the turbo running out of flow? |

The 5psi internal wastegate actuator has so weak of a spring, exahaust manifold pressure at higher rpm is enough to force the flap to creep open and bleed off exhaust pressure pre turbine. A overall stiffer wastegate actuator spring will help keep it from creeping open
