I think you guys are misinterpreting @xjohnx 's post. There is no pissing contest rather he is close to buying the kit and wants to understand the power gains, the correct tune, the correct set-up etc. Information is helpful to educate people on what mods = what gains.

I was hopping to put up big numbers to save $75. I don't care if someone else's tune or set up makes more power. If they do I want to understand how and if there are things I can swap out to help make more power. I'm more performance minded so how a car drives and puts out power is important. My car would get smashed by anyone with a turbo, but I have a great set-up and looking to tweak a few more ponies out of it.

Thanks, what he said. I'm very close (as in within the next 48 hours possibly) to pulling the trigger and am nailing down the final decisions, like:

-Which vendor/tuner to go with.

-Which fuel package am I going to go with? Options:
  • Stay stock right now and only run 93 octane for now and have the tuner/dyno shop install the FP/injectors before dynotuning
  • Go with DW700's/65c now for occasional e50 tanks until i have time to install the fuel pump
  • Go with the FA20Club.com fuel system package for +$300 that comes with a pump and 525cc injectors (on another note, anyone know any more about these? I've never heard of a vendor making 525's for the BRZ? I know precision turbo makes them for some Honda applications)

so yeah, just trying to gather as much information as possible before ordering.

I literally just spoke with Innovate directly a few hours ago. If you can swing it, PM me ASAP they are down to single digit quantities, less than 5. I also had an interesting conversation about Meth vs Intercooler, I'm looking into affordable options for a meth injection setup.

I understand your point completely. Those things are important to me as well. Can you see how your comment can be misconstrued?
I can see how my crassness can be disconcerting and for that I am sorry.

I was just trying to contribute my part in data to help the cause. I very well could have asked to keep my information private or waited until my build was complete to share.

I apologize to whom ever took offense to my comments as I was merely having my information shared for the exact reason @xjohnx wanted to see them;
however, I felt I was put on the defensive as soon as my plots were posted.Maybe it was selective word choice, or maybe I'm reading into things. Who knows honestly? But I felt like my car and my choices were being slighted and I definitely took that personally. That kind of feeling did not sit well with me and was not expected from fellow enthusiasts.

The meet was great but it was too hot to think about lugging that lens aroundwho else has awesome photos to contribute?

Congrats! There is a station with E85 on the way (near 295 & 32) you should grab a 5 gallon jug on the way up if you plan on running it. Awesome that Brady has a dyno now!

@Pure Automotive If you haven't already figured it out, I found cramming some paper in the socket for those rear injector cover bolts saves some time/aggravation (when bolting back the passenger side cover)

Nice, thanks for the heads up. i've actually got 3 or 4 6 gallon jugs already. What I'd like to do is fill up the jugs with e85 on the way and time it so that I arrive at Brady's with about a gallon of 93 left in her. Dyno with 93, fill tank with e85, dyno with e85.

The first switch to Ethanol will likely not end up at E85. Never has in my experience. Mine went to ~E65 when I switched mine on the dyno on Saturday.

After seeing the differences in AFR and power, I am definitely looking forward to John's flex fuel kit.
