No Premium 6AT makes sense. More hardcore! Those who want an auto may not necessarily be shopping for the cheaper car, nahmean?

True. Kinda like making the Premium the true Base model, while desiring an auto pushes you to get the Limited with all the "luxuries".

Lack of options always kills, though, and if they're still making the auto for Scion then I don't see why they can't continue it with the BRZ Premium.

GBS getting sacked really doesn't make that big of a difference. I've only seen one other Ultramarine (GBS) FR-S on the road since last year and it's a hard colour to find at dealerships too. It took me a while to find an Ultramarine. So the colour is already rare where I am, so it won't affect the rarity of it any more or less.

Unfortunately it looks like GBS is no longer....was finally warming up to that color. I'm assuming its due to lack of sales. Looks like DGM and WRB are my options now...

Where is the official details on the GBS being killed off in the states? Is this official, or just hearsay from some dealer?

Check the first page again. It appears it will be killed. Read this on a few other forums as well. Obviously there isn't an "official" announcement, but it looks to be quite certain.

If I decide to get that color and its not for 2014, ill have to bite on a late 2013. Will wait and see though.

SOA added the 2014 BRZ to the order list for dealers on Friday 8/02. GBS is no longer listed as an available color. I attached the 2014 BRZ order chart to the first post.

Funny that you say that, my only options when shopping around seemed to be Ultramarine or Raven. When I saw my Whiteout, though, I knew it had to be!

If it makes any difference, what I really wanted was Hot Lava!

Dislike the steering wheel controls. Hopefully that doesn't make it into production. MAYBE as an option or on the limited model, that would be cool but I prefer the wheel without. It's refreshing to have a car with a steering wheel that isn't cluttered with 20 buttons on it.

The radio looks somewhat interesting-still looks better than the bespoke nonsense in the scion. The biggest letdown for me is dropping the GBS color. IF they bring an STI version stateside and it was worth having, I planned on getting one in GBS. It's become a big favorite, even over WRB.

I love all the talk about weight too. People will complain for days if something adds 1.5lbs on a 2800lb car. People will do anything to try and cut weight from a car....except put down the keyboard and go running

Driving while eating a pear the other day REALLY had me missing my steering wheel controls on my WRX Limited. They don't get in the way of anything and only enhance the cruising experience. Plus if the unit wasn't so terrible I would mind less. Just need some freaking tracking buttons!

I really like GBS. So I'm sad to see they discontinued it.

It grew on me a lot over the year. My buddy has one and I've got to hangout with it up close. It is a very unique color.

It's going to be like the 2004 STI when they got Java Black for only the one model year. A pain to swap body parts with.
