Dear XXXX,

Thank you for your email. We're pleased to hear of your anticipation of the 2014 Subaru BRZ. The release date for this model has not been officially announced yet. It is expected to be released by late summer/early fall of this year. Please keep checking our official website, www.Subaru.com, where the release will be announced. Your enthusiasm for our vehicles is most appreciated.

Sincerely,

XXXX

And Push to Start is indeed an awesome feature. I've never had it before, but now that I do my keys never come out of my pocket.
Meh. I prefer the base model, without push start. I like feeling of turning the key in the ignition.

My pal at my Subaru Dealership confirmed me that BRZ is expected Delivery in late October. By that he meant the BRZ actually in their dealership.

They will start taking pre-orders mid/late next month (August). He didn't say exactly when they will actually be submitting the pre-orders to Subaru though. Which I guess doesn't matter, as long you know you are in the list and the vehicle will be delivered end of October.

Colors will only be an issue if you are planning to try to snatch one from their Inventory (or in transit inventory).

Hopefully they will also have GBS and a totally new color or two.
Maybe all the remaining US colors will be added to the Canadian lineup, thats what the sales manager was implying. I actually like the lightning red , that's the color i've been waiting for. If they don't release the lightning red then i guess Firestorm FR-S it is even though id love to have all the extra brz limited amenities.

Lightning Red will be offered. The dealership I've been dealing with offered me one. I'm sticking with World Rally Blue though.

Lightning Red is clearly an option of color choice for a BRZ on the Subaru website. Was this not a color before?

They're speaking of Canada. Automakers always make little changes to cars in Canada just to mess with our neighbors to the north.

They told me a few weeks... but I don't know if that's true since everyone is saying October.

You should see the new trim Canada is getting for the 2014 STI. It's basically the STI Limited sedan that the U.S. has received since 2011, where Canada has only received the Sport-tech version. I feel bad for them sometimes, but other times... not so much. I'm still sore that they basically got a full-on 2008 Forester STI. hahaha

What about them? I wasn't going to get specific about what changes were made.

Canada has always been able to get sun-roofs on the hatches while we weren't, or something silly like that?
