Doesn't sound like a 2014.............my phone mic is on the headliner. Have you been duped?
And why does the Subaru website still have 2013 model for "build yours"? When will they update that? |

The '14 US BRZ's will be available in October. Probably with the knee pads, probably the same looking HU (with AHA added).

JF1ZCAC11E******* The letter E before the numbers is for model year 14. Google Subaru vin numbers and they will explain the rest of the codes.

2014 BRZ SportTech Satin White Pearl
I just took delivery of a new 2014 BRZ SportTech in Vancouver, Canada. I was told I got the first 2014 from the dealership. For the Canadian 2014 BRZ, I can confirm that the following are true:
1. No knee pad 2. Same rear badging as last year 3. New Navigation System model FA732CS with StarLink and AHA (finally got rid of the Canadian only Pioneer system. Now I can install a rear view camera) 4. Mic now embedded in the headliner, same as the 2013 US models While these are true for Canadian 2014 BRZ, I have yet seen any 2014 US BRZs to confirm any differences. It's possible that the US version gets the knee pads, and the Canadian version does not. Has any 2014 BRZ been delivered in the US yet? I had the dealership leave the shipping plastic on. Will go get it Opti-Coated tomorrow. Last edited by hiroanz; 10-03-2013 at 01:02 AM. Reason: add photos |

Nope. No knee pads, no revised badging. I haven't gotten the car PDI'd yet but I'm hoping that it does at least have the AHA feature.
Meh. I am dissapoint Subaru. I was really looking forward to having the knee pads. Maybe they will be a 2014.5ish addition? |

Are you all really heartbroken without having the knee pads? They will be all forgotten once you drive off the lot!

Most interesting to me is whether there are any engine updates that could change the torque curve or reduce the torque dip. Even though we know the engine output is still the same in '14, I'm not sure other engine modifications have been ruled out yet. Someone else much smarter than me will figure that out.
