I am not sure where to purchase JORDANs there in OC besides the stores at the mall; Sheik, Foot Locker, Finish Line, and NIKE Store . But for NIKE Quickstrike/Hyperstrike shoes, BLENDS in Costa Mesa and PROPER in LBC would be the store to look at. As a matter of fact, PROPER will carry JORDANS. I will ask my brother where he picked up his VIII Bugs Bunny's.

There's going to be at least one V coming out this summer too. You basically just have to be online the second it's released, and follow the nike store on twitter. They post a link at 8 AM EST, and you have to be logged in on nike.com to get your best chances.

The grapes were released in stores, but a lot of stores are doing raffles or twitter RSVP, so they aren't normally out on the showroom floor.

But you have a chance to get some of the past releases, I think Footaction is re releasing some Jordans on the 25th.

And if that's not enough, then there's a time when none us didn't get the shoe we wanted initially, then damn resellers get them and jack up the price even further. This is why I'm glad I got most of the shoes I wanted before it gets even more out of hand.

Oh and check out these dope customs.

That color way is sick but even at a low res, I can already tell how stiff and non-breathable they are! I hate how the retros turn your foot in a sauna. Just from wearing them at work, at the end of the day when I take them off, my socks are stuck to my feet b/c no air was able to vent through.

What a shame to see those fire reds splitting. I got the Stealth Gray III's a couple years ago and the black paint around the sole is peeling.

I've been using sneakernews for the Jordan release dates but started to sell off my dead stocks on ebay. I kept my cement IV retro though. I had the og cement IV's back in 4th grade and during our school's Dodge 10 tournament, those shoes helped me escape from getting tagged by those big ass red balls!

Back in the days, we would go to the Navy Exchange and they had them in stock and a lot cheaper than the dept stores. There was no hype, cheaper than the mall and most of all, no tax. Kid sizes were plenty and my older brother usually had a more difficult time finding his size. My mom would always say, "ay nako, why are you always trying to dress black!!"

It seems like 2006+, that is where the camping started. I remember going to the Footlocker, Foot Action, Finishline 10 mins before opening and picking up a pair. The Nike outlet here never got them.

I've never had any success with shopping on Eastbay's EST. The furthest I've gotten was entering my payment info, then confirming only have the site hang for 10 mins. Once it recovered it said there was an error and clicking back showed no more in stock.

- lol

- I miss those days. Not everyone knew the release date so most of the times I could walk in a day or a week later and find a new release with my size still.

- Every site except Finishline released their sneaks on time. I knew this and and took advantage before things changed.

They call that the "fat lace", you can make it a different color then the other laces. Now sure what it's for though, lol. Oh, and the laces are actually grey to match the grey on the body of the shoe.

The white laces do look pretty good though, hmmmm. http://mypum.as/17apLmn

Oh its a separate fat lace.. hmm, that's different. And yeah, I meant the dark grey laces would be my choice to go with the grey on the quarter panels.

Ah dude, tell me about it! I still remember going to check out the stores and they had the cherry 16's on display and everyone looking at them were like, "ugghhh, those ugly!!"

Now every hyperbeast would sell their kidney for a fresh pair.

I just realized I posted the wrong one. Doh!

Here we go. It was this custom that did it right.

No, they're not made by JB. Those V's I posted were customed made by an artist or sneakerhead and made them into his favorite colorway.

And there were some made beforehand just to create fakes. But thats a different topic. I just admire the work that dude did to create a Tiffany colorway by himself.

What sucks even more is that Quai 54's were the closest to the OG's since it has the tumbled leather. Proof that once again, citizens of Um-mer-uh-cah got screwed!

These are the texture we're supposed to have.

Oh ok, so it was a one off shoe. The white soles make it look much better compared to the black.

@RRnold, My buddy wore them a few months ago (Quai 54), they still look good, but the bottoms are starting to black out. And my cousin gives me shit for letting them go. Oh well.

Anyway yeah the tumble leather is where its at. I believe my Motorsports that I'm wearing atm are tumble leather and are holding up quite well.

Yeah it looks like he chose to use the Metallics to do the custom job.

EDIT: Not mettalics, due to suede, so probably the latest version of the retroed fire reds.
