Shouldn't unless they were under driven.

Yeah, I mean the defrost... I guess that makes sense considering it does remove the humidity from my car... Hmm... I wonder if it is any more or less efficient than running straight A/C? If I run the A/C it gets cold... take it in and get it checked since it is/should be under warranty. If not, track the leak down and get a R-132a refrigerant (assuming that is what the FR-S/BRZ takes). Pretty easy to add to a car.

My AC works like a champ. It blows frosty cold even on the hottest humid day. I usually run it on low setting since it blows so cold that it freezes my arms. I use recycle setting most of time. That might help with the air getting so cold. Works like a freezer.

AC isn't very good. However, I have a koyo radiator, intercooler, and an oil cooler up there, so it the airflow the condenser gets is quite reduced. It works reasonably well, but I wouldn't say great.

I'd have to I'm not 100% impressed with my ac. Not ice cold but cool enough I guess. Seems like other cars are a bit colder. Next time I'm at the dealer I might bring up the issue. Has anyone actually measured the air temp coming out of the vents. I've done a few ac rebuilds and if I remember correctly 50F is really good goal to shoot for.

I have 3M Crystalline 70% installed all around. It helped the AC a LOT!! Before, I always switch it to 3, now even 1 is enough. So maybe instead of trying to get the AC to work better, help it do what it's doing now.

Note: Crystalline tint is expensive, but in my experience I've had it for 2 weeks and it already paid for itself. Earlier today, I tracked at Willow Springs and 103F+ sucks, but it's cool in my car, even with AC off.

I have noticed that mine is not very cool if I am sitting. Once I am moving it's fine. It combats Alabama summer heat which says something about a car's A/C.

I found that putting it on the defrost setting for a few minutes then using the front ac vents yeilds much cooler air for longer duration.

Your AC will not be nearly as cold at idle versus moving, and that's been true of almost every car I've owned on R134a. It's simply going to work better when you're at higher RPMs. You can even sit in your car at a stop, rev the engine up to 2k+ RPMs, and feel it get colder.

My AC blows pretty cold. Cold enough to keep me comfortable on 2 bars while it's 108+ outside.
