27.5 ~ AVG on the readout.

On highway trips I've found this to be pretty accurate in real world by my math, but only because I was being very conscious about it. Our tanks hold 13 gallons right?

I've been practicing hypermiling this week when doing normal city driving getting groceries, it's pretty easy in this car with the instant economy meter going. All you need to do is minimize the amount of acceleration. If the speed limit is 40 but I get to 35mph in 4th gear, I'll stay at 35mph until I reach a downhill slope to get some free acceleration from that. This way, I'll get a steady 50mpg all the way down the road. So far I've barely seen the gas guage needle move on my car in the last few days.

It's pretty fun this way, because one minute you'll be passed by someone thinking you're driving like a granny, the next you're picking up an extra 20mph downhill and ricer passing them while getting 50mpg on the readout.

I know it's totally not necessary when the car gets good gas mileage just driving normally, but I've been a bit of a lead foot and sometimes I found myself going to the gas station several times a week because I would ride a little too hard than necessary, especially starting from lights and gunning it, making the car thirsty.
