Thats true, offset is as importance as width. Mine is 9" with +42, maybe with a little less offset i would have been able to dial in more negative camber up front without worrying about the inside fender liner. I had to remove my tabs also to avoid conflict between the tire and rear bumper/fender junction. Also what i meant by the 255/40 being too tall is that it may rub with your set up not that the tire is wrong for the wheel size. Post some pics lol

I wanted to see the life span on these tires before spending an extra $400, so far only 3 months on these, if I can squeeze a year then it will be 255/35 next time, these are not that stretched even tho the size may say it does.

Yeah RS3's run kinda wide, so a 255 would probably fit very well.

Just seemed odd because they are a great tire and you could have much more rubber on there!

Stock suspension for now

Any input?
Sorry I keep popping in and asking basically the same question. And I know raven kinda confirmed either setup would work (thanks) but I'd just like to know which setup I should go with.

Personally I'd like to go with the wider setup as long as it would fit.

Thanks guys

To be honest I would go with the narrower set just to be on the safe side. I just got the wider of my two choices 255 over 245 and now the inner liner in the front is being rubbed against so I had to raise my car a bit. You have a pretty high offset so that pushes the wheel inside.

Trashing fender liners isn't really a big deal. I've replaced them several times.

i only went through one liner, and thats only because i caught a chunk of ice and it ripped it into my wheel thus ripping it out. otherwise, i NEVER rub, only when i go full lock, and even then its not always.

if your'e rubbing, you either have too soft a suspension, you forgot to roll/trim certain parts, or your offset is too aggressive to fit functionally. i personally wouldn't go more than +35 on a 9.5 wheel, even +35 is too aggressive for my liking on a square setup.

TPMS codes are specific to vehicle and must be programmed in. They do not "auto-reset."
