and its not a "trend", it's been around since cars have been driven by enthusiasts...this isn't like stancing cars and making them utterly useless. meaty tires have a benefit, much more or a benefit than the stock crap tires, but you can keep your amazing looking stock wheels

you also make ZERO sense because a 265/35 has teh same sidewall size as a 245/40 which you just stated you liked...literally make no sense dude.

The only un-tacky ones are the ones with mesh then? Judging from your comments so far in the thread, its LM style or nothing?

There are differing tastes for different people. Bashing someone else's cleanly modded car because their wheels are not the ones you would buy is pretty tacky too, I think. Anyways, enjoy. Once you trade in your Altima for a twin be sure to post up a build thread.

What kind of logic is that?

Exactly!
Fairly logical. You post compliments for wheels that are LM-style, then turn around and say that the rest of the aftermarket wheels are 'tacky'.

Ok if you're going to race it and go all out like that then fine. If all you do is upgrade the wheels to ginormous ones with a low profile tire for driving back and forth to work it looks kind of ridiculous. He also has tires that are made for racing. He obviously had to modify the fenders though, so at least they look like they fit. Everyone else's look like they were jammed in there to fit. Not clean at all.

I still hate the look of his car. What is the purpose of the stickers and yellow head lights? Are stickers required for racing?

I said most. Not "the rest (all others)." Those just happen to be the only wheels so far that I like. Come on man, logic! Don't assume.

You may claim it is your dislike for excessively low profile tires, but if you would look a little closer, this is a MEATY TIRE THREAD. Look at how much tire is on Jive's car. And then look at Thongpocket's car. They look like they have about the same amount of rubber. I'd venture to say that they're both 40 in the front and 35 in the rear.

Your bias is showing.

where do i start...for starters, mine aren't jammed in there, i have plenty of room as can be seen here on track:

this is not done to only look pretty. its my car that i do everything in, which means race. therefore i drive it to the track, and drive it home. also, its not JUST putting on wheels and tires. its setting up the rest of the suspension to accommodate etc etc...much more than just wheels and a drop on cheap coilovers...

next up is your response to my picture i posted of the GT300...well yes he did have to modify his fenders, and by modify i mean completely replace everything because that is a full on RACE CAR second, yes he is on race tires, that is irrelevant because the dimensions are still similar, race tires or not, they are low profile as you say. FYI have you tried cornering with tires that have a massive soft sidewall?

decals are the sponsors of the car/race team, yellow is for safety reason.

and for the record, its called camber, not ^

in the end i'm not disagreeing with you, as everyone has different opinions and you're entitled to it. but please dont come into a thread about meaty tires, to complain about MEATY tires and then go on to compliment someone who isn't running that meaty of a tire
