I'm sure he meant the Premium (or FR-S) since it doesn't come with a wing. |

Here is a pick with the rubber grommets removed on the left. It's definitely bolted on.

the TRD duck bill requires 2 holes drilled at different places than the stock spoiler (red circles).

I took out my spoiler a couple of days ago. I apologize I wasn't able to take any pictures but aside from the 2 bolts/screws on each side, there are 3 more clips (rectangle shape) lined up in the middle. There are 7 holes all in all. Hope this helps with anyone planning to do a spoiler delete.
I'm still trying to find someone in Socal with a SWP premium to do a trunk swap with my Limited!

But anyway if the duckbill covers the other four holes then that's good and thanks for letting me know.

I'm waiting for the first pic of a BRZ premium with the Five axis duckbill spoiler.
The five axis spoiler uses high speed tape to attach to the trunk and there would be no holes to cover up. Plus it's probably cheaper than the TRD option without having to drill holes in the trunk. BRZ Limiteds will likely be forced to use the TRD spoiler until someone else comes out with a kit.

Five Axis spoiler + "red tails" on a white BRZ would be my combo.
Maybe buy an extra trunk lid (if that's even possible) to swap onto a limited BRZ. Im not too much of a fan of the BRZ wing, but maybe it will grow on me. Im sure the aftermarket will make OEM style CF trunks that can be painted too. Saves weight, and you get the stock look. Or you can just add any wing you want to your aftermarket trunk without worrying about punching holes in your stock trunk. |
