clanking sound after Eibach pro install
I installed my "Eibach pro kit" today on my stock struts, I didn't really run into any problems during the install, I followed a DIY from the forum and used hand tools. When I turn my wheels left and right there are no weird sounds, while driving 35+ or slowly on smooth roads or only small bumps I don't hear any weird sounds, when when I drive slow over speed bumps, bad roads or potholes I hear a pretty noticeable clanking sound coming from my wheel area. I checked and I don't see any marks from metal contacting each other anywhere and all my bolts are torqued down, can anyone think of anything I might of overlooked or anything I should check? I know this is probably hard to diagnose with this little info, but i'm at a loss. I haven't noticed any weird noises from my rear struts at all. :/
I took a video it is kind of quiet and the audio doesn't really give it justice but you can kind of make out the abnormal sound's. [ame]http://youtu.be/OX4Q-hsjSKs[/ame]

Double-check your swaybars and strut tophats.

What about the top hats? That they're tight? Wouldn't the swaybars be having an issue while turning more then just going over bumps? Or do you think they're knocking under the car?

I have zero problems with min dis assemble and make sure the strut mount is all the way down on the strut shaft there is a machined part of the strut shaft that stops the hat

yea, when i didnt do it enough it loosened and made a clunk noise. But seems to me that you did it enough. Since it's not coilovers i doubt it'll be coil binding. Also since you dont have after market camber plates i doubt it'll be your top hats hitting the top of the fender. Can you physically feel the clunk in the car?

How exactly did you break the top nut loose to remove the spring? If you didn't use an open-centered socket or the "special tool" to hold the shaft with a hex key, there is a chance you could have spun the shaft loose inside the shock. I'm speaking from experience, ruined one of my rear shocks this way.

So I went to autozone got a new torque wrench, re torqued the bolts from the hub to strut, checked the other bolts and looked around for metal contacting and leaving marks. Reassembled everything and am sill hearing the noise, is it normal to hear some noise when going over things? I'm going to try to get a video of this sound but so far, no progress. Anyone have any other ideas? :/

Is it on all of them, or just one? If it's just one, you have a blown strut if that top bolt is tight. Put the stock springs back on and take it in and get it fixed under warranty.
