I put Ethanol free gas I found on www.pure-gas.org and the crickets did not seem to go away.

Ditto. Crickets have nothing to do with Ethanol. Any evidence to the contrary is circumstantial.

My province only has ethanol free, so this car will never see a drop. If I start hearing crickets you guys will be the first to know.

If was in a position like CSG Mike and ended up with legal representation, I can guarantee you the legal team would pick apart the claim by Subaru about "Racing" asking them to show in their literature how they define "racing" since they already have wording specifying "Competition events" and they have marketing promoting "track driving". Well, he was track driving the car in a non-competition event. IMHO, Subaru's defense doesn't hold water.

What concerns me is what the ECU is telling them if that is indeed the case. How could the black box know it was a "Competition event"?... It can't.

I'm paying close attention to this. Some neat cars are coming out in the next 3-6 months and I'm not so sure the FRS is going to be worth keeping.

What cars are you looking forward too?
