It is the change in the delivery charge from $750 to $770

Sure no prob :-)
Since I work out in the Tri-Valleys, if Subaru call you to tell you some balding jack-ass weirdo is walking around your car, once it's come in, looking in the windows and stuff, it'll just be me ;-)

Sorry to bump, but does any one know when/where the next time we'll be having a BRZ on display in the area? The wife want's to know "what she's getting into" but I'm not sure how to find out. I've contacted Capitol & Stevens Creek and I guess their demo's have moved on, Livermore said theirs is in Sacramento now.

I just called up AutoWest Subaru in Roseville, and the person on the phone said they have one in the showroom permanently, but not for driving.

I was gonna ask him what about it, but he had no clue. Salesman hilarity aside, even if you're going to get the FRS you should go see it while they have it this week. It's amazing to see in person. Pictures just don't do it justice. One of the junior sales guys has a buddy at the Scion dealer, and said that they should be getting their demo FRS soon as well.

Things that really didn't sink in until I touched/saw it. Fenders are rolled from the factory. The engine bay is tubbed so expect some road noise, and if you remove the plastic from the front wheel wells it's an open space to the wheel/road. It's pretty awesome looking. The battery placement is nice. I like having it in the back corner as opposed to the drivers side. Finally, even bone stock the car looks amazing.
Nice scoop on Stevens Creek Scion. I have my deposit there. Cant wait till they get a demo car to check out. I sat in the BRZ at Stevens Creek Subaru and loved it. Seriously can't wait to drive this car.

Rumor has it, that folks that have a deposit down will get to drive the demo car before anybody else. But its just a rumor.

I saw you were going to cancel your pre-order. Sadness.

Does anyone know of any demo cars currently in the area? I presume the one in San Jose is long gone.

I haven't heard anything yet. I'll post up in here if I find another one.

Which ones? Floor/test cars? I'm still waiting for Steven's Creek to tell me when I can throw money at them and drive home. :P

I stopped by Scion/Toyota 101 today to ask about the FR-S and they said they expect their first car will arrive around May 15. It's an approximate date. Their little "flyer" also has the red Scion concept car in the photo (not a production model) and lists some tacked on options:
$26,030 (AT MSRP)
+ 2500 sport leather seats (don't recall exact price on this)
+ 595 window tints
= $29000+ total price.

what a surprise, it hasn't sold yet. I told the guy I wasn't interested in the extras and they said I could put a deposit down to preorder a stock car but it would probably take at least 2 months. I left my number and said to call me when the 1st car came in so I could look at it and sit in it, and he seemed ok with that. Told him I was in no hurry and wasn't going to jump at the chance to pay markup for the first one.

Also stopped by Hayward Scion/Toyota and they were pretty clueless, they knew they had a car coming but didn't know when and hadn't figured out pricing, addons, etc. yet.

Miata Subaru in Sacramento will be getting a charcoal Limited AT on the 18th of May. I've seen their BRZ order page and the manager confirmed it's delivery date. I was told all the people that preordered through them get the first test drives. It's going to be a showroom model, not to sell, but for people to check out and place orders. I'll be going their after work that day to take her for a spin.
