Don didn't build my engine btw,.....I'm gathering info and researching,...mostly about the bearings....I may need your help as I'm at a crossroad with my build. Not trying to disrespect,...but it does seem logical to up the strength of the bearings when going forged and FI at higher boost on a originally NA engine, Carillo or Arias in my case and Pauter rods which I have as well,...to not upgrade crank bearings as well since we are doubling the horsepower,....and in some cases more than double on OEM bearing. And as I said,...there are failures out there. I'm following this thread closely as it is very close to my build and wish you guys much success. And glad to hear there was an upgrade to the bearings.

bearing failures dont always have to do with the build or the part itself. its best to look over every detail to prevent a second failure. including the most basic ones. ive seen oem bearings run over 90 dyno/track passes in a 9 sec evo and honda and still kicking. but these are not isolated cases. not every oem bearing is great but not all of them can be blamed directly for a failure. ill be here monday you can give me a ring or shoot me over a email
