Cpo warranty? Worth maybe 1500 if you want peace of mind. 22 or mebbe 23k. 24k is too much.

Keep in mind this is a automatic (adds $1K) and has Bespoke ($750). $25 is pretty resonable if it has the extended warranty.

I suppose if you want them. Bespoke is not getting great reviews from what I've seen and the auto tranny is a terrible mistake for this car. With an auto, I'd get a v6 Mustang instead. In 5 years, auto resale values will suck vs manuals. Just like on the miata.

I've got a bridge that's a great deal...

Depending on taxes and fees in your state, $26k out the door MAY be reasonable if it's exactly what you're looking for (you'll save about $1k off of new, not so bad).

Personally I wouldn't touch the car unless I was saving at least $2k over the exact car I wanted (assuming correct trans and that you WANT bespoke, not many people think it's worth it). Warranty means jack shit to me, if anything actually costly fails there's probably a clause that they can use to get out of it. (Oh you drive it in the snow? Sorry you'll have to pay for your own motor mounts that went bad.)

The real kicker is they probably paid $22k-$23k for it, >$4k profit for flipping a car that only needed a car wash and possibly warranty work.

Just a quick update. The dealer has now lowered the price to $24,691 for the FR-S that I started this thread about. This is their extra special "Priced to Move!" price. (They originally told me they would go as low as $26,000.)

To recap, this FR-S is a CPO Whiteout with auto and BeSpoke. It has a little over 2200 miles on the clock. The dealer bought it at auction a few months ago. Who knows why the original owner had it for such a short time or why it went to auction. Any guesses?

I think if this car was Asphalt instead of Whiteout I might go try to cut a deal with them. I'm pretty sure they've also been calling me on regular basis but haven't left a message yet. They should have struck while the iron was hot after my first test drive a few weeks ago when I was hooked. My interest has sort of died down now so I'm not as desperate.

With that price, you'd be stupid not to buy a new one with all the previous issues sorted. I still don't quite understand getting a car like this in an auto. Seriously, 6spd manual is the only way to go. Want an auto.... get a family sedan or van.

Well the folks that are in highly dense traffic day to day I can understand if they go AT for sure...

See my original post. I wouldn't have thought I'd like the auto either before I drove the car but the paddle shifters and the way they worked with car completely changed my mind. It was very clear the engineers didn't just throw the auto together as an afterthought. Shifting up and down the gears with the paddles and the throttle blips literally made me feel like I was racing an F1 car on Le Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. ( for all you Canadian F1 fans!)
