Will you guys be pushing your 91 octane tunes above 300whp? I know it'd take more than 10psi to achieve this on 91 but I assume a few more pounds of boost with a few degrees timing pulled would be just as safe as less boost more timing?

that depends on when one of our 91 octane customers wants more power. we dont have 91 here.

Nice numbers! Here's what I'm worried about... On 93, how reliable is this power level? Am I going to be able to run, and beat on, this power level all day, every day, for 10, 20, 50k miles? What is the limit on 93 while being safe?

337whp is a damn party in a 27xxlb car, but will it have the longevity of 250-280whp? I know everyone said you can't mod a 12.5:1 CR motor and expect it to last, and many have done so, regardless, and with success, but what's the limit? I want to be able to beat on my turbo BRZ and have it live! Any info about running meth injection with your kit? I'm thinking winter blend, 20% meth content, windshield washer fluid.

On a proper tune, I don't see how 3-350whp should be a problem. Full blown hit 600+ on stock block, with multiple dyno pulls without any issues. There are a few running 400+ on e85 for a while too. But its also too soon to know for sure. But if the blocks are taking over 500, then I don't thin 300 should be too much stress.

the original car besides ours just hit 12k miles 9 k on the turbo alone. and he flogs its daily with frequent visits to the local meets. i dont see an issue anytime soon on 300hp 350 shouldnt demand much from the engine considering our tune is on the conservative side for our customers.

Thanks for the responses. I too feel like 300-350whp would be attainable, but I want longevity as well. After dropping almost 10k on a kit, clutch, tune, exhaust, oil cooler, etc., I don't want to spend another 5k fixing my blown motor. Yanno?

Here's a better question, why can this kit make legit power at 10psi whereas the AVO kit will likely never reach such numbers on pump gas. Is it b/c of the injectors/fuel pump? Turbo size as well, but why does it seem like the 'safe' limit is at 270-280whp, and 300whp is some sort of a crazy wall that no kit can safely surpass on 93?

I am very interested in the FA20Club kit, but want to make sure I cross my t's and dot my i's. That said, I'm also interested in the oil cooler setup you guys are running as well, and the price point is certainly more attractive than the Perrin kit.

primary power difference is going to be the turbo size. avo's kit was never built for the same purpose in mind as what we did ours for. its more of an entry level unit.

Much more efficient turbocharger. Most would traditionally think a 60 Trim is too much turbo but it's really not the case. It is not at all pushing it's limits so its supplying more air easily (less heated) and has more exhaust flow (less back pressure). All of that leads to an engine that is harder to detonate at the same power.
