a bov should open and close, not flutter. this is common when people run too stiff of a spring in the valve. it can cause some weird issues at idle and damage a turbo...
i have seen this a bunch as i owned a starion and the cool thing to do was crush the top a dsm valve to run more boost. very bad mojo.

on the dsm metal bov you crush it so you dont have it open under boost. same thing has been done on evos for years.

The fact is that Tial specs their BOV springs for how much vacuum you pull at idle. Subaru engines and the FA20 are capable of pulling as much as -22 in/hg at idle. That means that Tial specs an 11 or 12 psi spring to keep the BOV closed at idle since it is fairly close to the MAF. I trust Tial.

Not to cause any negativity, but that is not the 93 record. I forget what the numbers were on 93 alone, but it's a little over 400whp with 93 and meth.

then thats not 93 octane now is it since you mentioned meth used meth. its like me comparing a record for a turbo only vs another with the same turbo with nitrous now would it

thats why we ship all our kits with 11 psi springs.

I mentioned I didn't remember the 93 only numbers, but if I recall it's not the record still. If it is, then congrats at having a higher number.

I'm at work, so I can't see any pics (dyno plots) to check.

No need to be snippy though....

That might be the 93 octane only record, but I still love my torque curve better.
