I just air the front of my car down

speaking of that, I checked the SC oil again..and again it was low.

This thing EATS oil. I've gone maybe 3k since the last checkup when I put the intercooler kit on. It was still showing on the dipstick, but barely. (like 2mm if that).

Yep, I've done it. if you have an iphone the compass app has a built in level, just swipe to bring it up.

didn't say it evaporated, but its obviously going somewhere since the recommended oil change is 30,000 miles, and I have filled it twice now within half of that mileage.

Yeah, I was just running through possibilities in my own mind. It's mostly a sealed system. I can only think of 2 places where it can escape. Maybe more? I'll examine mine more closely when I get it back.

Edit: If there is no external evidence of oil being splattered out onto the engine/engine compartment, my money is on a weak seal inside the blower with oil going down the intake manifold.. Hopefully not.

Might be worth getting an opinion from a 3rd party:

Would excessive supercharger oil missing show up in catch cans or is that not apart of where it's possibly coming out?

I had a customer with one that was leaking from the housing to the impeller wheels. Unfortunately for my customer and unknowing to him at the time he received it, it was a used kit. One that technically was not supposed to be in this country. Basically a Sprintex kit in the USA and not an Innovate kit. Before install we inspected it and found the blower to be low on oil, and the oil from the unit on the impellers. Went through a huge ordeal trying to get this sorted and finally Sprintex said if there was an issue they would warranty it and for us to install the kit and perform there oil consumption test. It failed there test and then they refused all warranty. Unfortunately the kit came from fa20club and well I am sure you know how well they are handling it for the customer. After this ordeal I lost faith in the kit do to the manufacture treating the customer so poorly, and not standing behind there product. For those of you that are running into oil consumption issues I hope you are able to get them sorted, if you look at other blowers of similar design you will not find the same issue. Good luck.

The first test was done with IC Sprintex 75mm Delicious tuned vs Vortech Visconti tuned, both kits being as they are shipped no modification to the kits.
Both cars had identical mods
Headers
Overpipe
Decat 63mm exhaust
95 RON with a can of Torco to 20l
My car out performed the Vortech both on torque and top end power.

The second test the same car with the Vortech changed over to the IC Sprintex with 70mm Delicious Tuned and took on another Vortech car with UniQ tuning.
Both cars once again had same mods and both had Octane booster added to 95 RON,
Once again the Sprintex IC out performed the Vortech, which is the graph I posted.

All our tests on the day same dyno, each car run directly after each other.

The dye is not necessary there are only 2 spots the oil can leak, internal on to the impellers and eventually ingested by the engine and coating your intercooler giving it less efficiency. Or externally and that would be visible at the shaft seal for the pulley.

When I checked and filled my charger (about 50ml low over 12000 miles) there was a little puff when i opened the cap after it had sat for about an hour. Obviously air expands when it gets hit. I am impressed it held pressure that long. But this could force more oil through the seals. But I am just thinking out loud. I have no idea what the pressure is on the screw side of the case while running. Maybe vent the chamber. But this could be bad as well allowing air to possibly leave the manifold. I dunno. 50ml in 12000 miles. Not a little but not a lot. I am going to keep a closer eye on it and do a consumption test.

On a side note. You are pumping WAYYYYY more oil through the charger if you aren't using a catch can. I guarantee it.

That took some searching.

In the end, that car is still using unichip. UniQ is the software that unichip provides as an interface. Considering that, the comparison is absolutely invalid. I appreciate that you posted as I'd love to finally see a direct comparison between the two kits. But using a piggy back isn't going to give near the flexibility that EcuTek can.
