If by work well you mean make your ear drums bleed.

By work well, I mean make horsepower which is generally the reason one would install a supercharger. Noise is controlled by the muffler not the pipe diameter.

I'm aware of how noise is controlled. I've yet to hear a full 3" exhaust on a non-turbo 86 that could be driven daily without sounding like a complete asshole, regardless of the muffler size/number of mufflers installed.

Sure, it will make power. I never disputed that. I was just pointing out a potential downside that wasn't mentioned by the OP and may not have been considered.

I have a video/audio clip I made of mine in cabin in my build thread if you'd like to hear it. I have the Perrin 2.5" intake which I think may be making the whine a little louder. I'm getting, hopefully this week, a metal intake tube from Nameless Performance to replace the plastic Innovate tube, which supposedly makes the whine louder as well. I'll post another video/audio clip once it's on.

A 3" exhaust will work but usually be loud with no turbo to muffle the exhaust. Headers, full exhaust, a tune, and e85 get people power gains. Lots of people are recommending oil coolers if you're doing track days. Many more recommend dual catch cans. You'd probably want high temp brake pads and fluid with that. If you go e85 with other mods, you're approaching the limits of the stock injectors, but Delicious Tuning claims to have defeated some of the stock system's programmed limits. People have also posted positive things about their tunes.

There have been several complaints about the quality of fittings and bolts. Some people have had pulley issues as well. Carry a spare belt and some tools with you.

I think that about sums it up.

Looks good!

Innovate is more for around town driving and an easier time at the race track. Kraft will likely give more power potential and probably faster times at the drag strip. Both are good in their own ways. Neither will turn the car into a rocket ship. For that, you need a big turbo and a lot more money.

Do we even have any dyno's showing a 3" exhaust making more power than a 2.5? Exhaust diameter won't be affected as much as a turbo system would.

I had to swap out my front pipe because the bracket broke, and feel virtually zero difference without it. I'm really debating leaving it off.

jsimon7777 - this supercharger makes a GIANT difference compared to stock. It may not "feel" like a rocket ship but thats because of the power delivery of the supercharger compared to a turbo setup. Its like, sneaky fast

Not disagreeing. That said, I have been disappointed with the few drag times I've seen. The car just isn't set up to go fast in a straight line. Boohoo.

With enough money and diligence, this can be an fa20-based 10-sec car.
