Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can tell me if this knocking noise I get is normal. U can really hear it at the end of the clip. Thought it might have been oil, so in drained it and out new oil in, but noise remains. Seems to only be at idle. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t958LgZCuE&feature=youtube_gdata_player"]Super charger sound - YouTube[/ame]

Also is the oil meant to be exactly at the engraved line on the dip stick?

Wow that is a nasty sound and not normal.
The booklet say fill 5.31 US fluid ounces or 157 milliliters.
When I check mine it is just on that line on the dipstick.

What's your idle go down to? I ask as some folks said heard similar around 600-700rpm. They took in for the TSB and it was raised to 850+ and smoothened out and silent. So I'd you hold peddle steady at say 800+ is your noise still there? Something to do with low rpm relevant to lower oil pressure then lifter knock etc... Just trying to help is all not sure on this.

Aren't guys having trouble going to a smaller pulley because the 75mm pulley is already making 11 psi? I don't think more boost would help, atleast not to the point of 300 whp on pump gas. I'm guessing they'd have to be making the compressor more efficient to get those results.

Over 300whp on pump gas, so 98RON/93AKI. They haven't given me a solid date yet other than soon, ill be down there as soon as they release it to get some of that!!!!!

Yup that sounds exactly right

well, considering it is supposedly a fairly easy bolt-on and looking at what some folks have done could it be something like 3" CAI, 68 or 70 mm TB, bored out supercharger intake manifold and maybe some stuff to reduce the IAT like self adhesive insulation to the under side of the discharge manifold?

but doubling the HP of the intercooled kit on the same blower is just hard to believe.

PS add an oil catch can as well as it seems people are able to advanced timing a bit (up to 1*) when oil vapor doesn't make it into blower.

Is this going to be an upgrade for current 210 users, or something that will be replacing the original 210?

Happy about this but bummed because I wanted to go get dyno tuned in a couple weeks. I know I will go get tuned, then whatever this "secret" is will come out, and I will have to go back again

Agreed, I am going to wait on this before I touch the car again. Although this may mean new clutch time :/

I agree with you, I'm pushing 11 to 12 psi on 75mm pulley on the coast, however when I drive inland to 1000m above sea level boost dropped to 8psi.
So the guys at altitude are using 70mm and getting 11psi boost.

I note my idle is also 600 to 700, I asked my tuner why so low as I was always idling at 800 prior to SC.

I wouldn't call it a fairly easy bolt on, Sprintex are also using it in tandem with a 70mm pulley at sea level to achieve that power result.

And as i said earlier i have no idea if Innovate is going to bring this to the US as well.

Seeing as everything that has been released over seas has been released in the US, i'm hoping it comes to the states.

We were running 285whp/225 tq (275/210 uncorrected; hot day) on E85 no problem with the 70mm pulley in the summer. Then the JDL header went on, then it got colder. Once it got below freezing the clutch said it's goodbyes. Not sure how much HP/TQ since the dyno has not yet been fully unpacked from the move, but it's definitely faster. I'd say stock clutch is good for no more than 225 uncorrected tq, probably closer to 210 for any serious span of time.

For the record we just run some 255 Goodyears 240 treadwear and don't get too wild with launch control. It is just power pulling it loose above 3500 in higher gears. In the summer it was 200 UNCORRECTED tq, so figure at least 220-240 in the cold on e85 with the JDL unit. Car is dramatically faster in the cold without the IC, and we're able to run some seriously advanced timing on e85 in these temps.
