i'm also curious. FA20club said that they maxed the 66mm pulley at 13.4 psi. What about if that was switched to the 335 SC, as opposed to the 210?

So I tackled taking the rear elbow off the back of the supercharger today to replace the plastic fittings.

Here's the parts I used (couldn't find a 90 elbow that had a 1/4" hose end local, so I had to use a street elbow).

UPDATE: do not use a 1/4 barb - use a 5/16 barb fitting. Had to order this online from amazon.

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ADWE78/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]1/4 npt - 5/16 Barb Fitting[/ame]

As you can see I broke the plastic fitting trying to get the rubber line off. If your in a cold climate like me be careful when trying to remove this if you intend on keeping the plastic fittings.

I used a long Allen wrench with ball end on a socket. Was very easy to get to those lower bolts. They are in the same exact spot as the top bolts, so just follow the top bolt down and you will find the lower bolts. Using a ball end Allen key makes life easy as you can be on a slight angle and still loosen/tighten the bolts.

I tefloned all 3 fittings but the stock brass fitting in the middle comes up fairly high inside the manifold so I cleaned the Teflon off the exposed threads so it didn't get dislodged and go through the supercharger. There was also a "loose" piece of brass in that fitting, that I pulled out with a pick. I'd double check that fitting.

I should be picking up my kit next weekend hopefully and aim to install before the end of the year. To save me going through all 105 pages, what are the typical things to look out for/issues now these kits have road time? My setup is I/C'd FWIW. From the top of my head it's pretty much check all rear fittings and ensure PTFE tape is used on anything running boost through it, and possibly coolant lines too.

Bullet point lists will suffice

Excellent well done.
We were also worried about breaking the plastic pipes, all worked out. What you can also do is the middle breather pipe, use a clamp to hold it on as it tends to get loose in the heat and pop off..

Kit should just come with these types fittings, hopefully they're listening to these kinds of things.

Yeah, I misplaced a clamp I had lying around but I just used a zip tie on that one. I would never leave that hose without some kind of clamp/tie on it.

I agree. Not sure why they even used those plastic fittings.

@Kodename47 - 3 fittings on the back, the nipples on the front and rear for the intercooler connections, MAP sensor extension wires (some people have had a bad connection, i haven't). I think there might be one or two other things but thats all I can think of right now lol.

Installation wise, helpful to have another person handy to place the charger down on top of the motor, and you have to shave the alternator down a bit (mentioned in installation manual) to clear the supercharger.

Throttle body harness wired incorrectly
Bosch Map sensor crap
Oh I also snapped one of the bolts on the pulley, so I replaced all bolts with high tensile steel.
Some of the harnesses around the kit don't reach the clips easily.
I really don't like the coolant bottle sitting on top of the manifold, so possibly a clamp to mount the bottle on the tower brace would be good idea.

We just got a new shipment in from Sprintex, all the issues I reported have been sorted and the kits are pre assembled from factory, so much better.

Thanks guys! Ask and you shall receive and all that....
I shall be employing the help of someone who has already got one fitted so that should definitely help.

The coolant bottle will be an interesting one, I have a Cusco brace so will see how that goes or whether I'll have to relocate it. Anyone know the answer to that?

Get a MR2 overflow tank and mount it down low

Overflow tank is a different design...but if the overflow doesn't need to be pressurized it could be made to work. Would just have to find a place it would fit. All the COG lowering

Are the pics upside down? Loaded via my iPad and are fine when I view the forum. Let me know I'll rotate,
