just kidding

I was genuinely terrified that there would be a pic in the large amount of whitespace in this post. Cringe-scrolling.

This car was Toyota's idea, concept, design, execution (no way Subaru would want to develop anything not AWD), Toyota has a large 16.5% stake in Fuji Heavy Indistries (Subaru's parent company) so either way, Toyota is the driving force behind the twins regardless of who made the parts.

Subaru originally said no (because of RWD and no turbo). From what I read Tada made a prototype after Subaru said no, and the Subaru engineers fell in love with it. The car was clearly a joint venture and many Subaru engineers and components were used. Subaru still could have said no, it is not like Toyota owns the majority of the company.

At the end of the day who cares which company was more responsible? I never understand why people get so worked up about this. Without either Toyota or Subaru the car would not exist.

Wow. Thanks again for the clarification guys. But can you maybe contribute to the OP's thread = Most unusual place for a Subaru logo.

The most unusual place that I found a Subaru Logo was behind my Carbon Fiber TRD Aero Fins.

Glad I bought a BRZ Limited.

I'd hate to be with a girl that has some other guy's name tattooed everywhere. jk
