Did you follow the DIY? Looks awesome and glossy, just the way I want mine to look.

I still don't understand this mod........
![]() Everyone that buys a car with stock red tail lights wants clear or smoked LED tail lights so this is kind of backwards in my opinion. But if you like it then that's all that counts.

To each their own, but I don't get it either. There are safety and visibility concerns too. I want the most vibrant and conspicuous lights. Anything to help prevent a huge truck or SUV from crashing in to me.

There really isn't enough paint covering the lights to change the light output, mine are darker(are going to be redone as I want a brighter red) and they are still very visible during the day. So there shouldn't be a safety concern, now blacked out tail lights are a different story.

I dislike being behind cars that have the brake lights doubling as turn signals (by flashing). It's adequate for the job, but it is nowhere near as instantly recognizable as an amber light suddenly appearing amongst the red tail lights.

I see what you're saying now, it make sense, I thought you were going on the output standpoint. When I redo mine I probably will mask the signal and do the red with clear signals becasue I like that look as well, not sure though.

"Amber is instantly recognizable" is a great way to say it. :happy0180:

Output is also a concern. I hope people reading this will be reminded to think not only of aesthetics, but also of safety. Cheers friends. :happy0180:
