So, my questions. The car currently has the Touge Factory Duct Kit. Is there an adapter available for the Sprint kit that will let me connect the ducting to put air into the rotors? The Endurance Kit has an adapter, will that work on the Sprint kit also?

Will this kit fit on Enkei RPF1 17x7.5 wheels? If not, what can I do to make it fit?
Are you experiencing fade? Always bleeding the brakes before and after a track day? Using the proper compound?

Do it. No idea on the adapter, or how large a spacer need for the 7.5 RPF1.

I'm really just looking for answers on the Essex kit here from Mike.

But here's the setup if you guys really want to analyze it. Not really getting fade technically, but I did melt/overheat the XP10 pads I used last year going down into turn 5 at RA (also using Pedal Dance). I stepped it up to XP12's this year all around. If that doesn't do it, I don't really want to juggle pads again (I realize pads like Endless and PMu99's will be better). I'll just step it up to the BBK like I should have done from the start.

Bridgestone RE-71R
Speigler Stainless Lines
KNS Titanium Shims
DBA T3 Rotors
TF Brake Ducting
Carbotech XP12 (Front/Rear)
Motul RBF600

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but for anyone else looking for a kickass track setup, our guy loves the PFC 08/13 compounds with titanium shims and RBF600.

Shoulda bought the kit before you spent all that on replacement hardware but the answer to your questions is "get a BBK"

I ran stock with XP10 once I got "track rubber", not even serious rubber, RE11A. I saw a dramatic increase in pad wear. Bought the kit after that. If you are melting XP10 it is a no brainer.

Not sure on the wheel fitment but there is a thread on AP sprint wheel fitment and you can print the template and check yourself. If not fit you can do extended studs and spacer or obviously buy new wheels.

If you have the funds, if you enjoy pushing the car on track, if you want to stop thinking about brakes on track, just get it. Doubt you need ducts, I don't have them. I'm on JRSC/Ohlins/Slicks/AP Sprint/XP12/Torque RT700 - slicks chirp in braking zones but brakes don't fade.

I use 12mm aluminum spacer to fit +45 enkei rpf1, just follow instructions above.

Ducts are always a good idea for track use.

Lower temps = lower wear, and it also helps with heat in the hubs/bearings as well.

Nah. Thought my learning curve would be a bit longer and I wouldn't need to worry about a BBK for a very long time. Could have, should have, etc. It doesn't really matter, and it's not a big deal. Moving forward, it's probably time to try something different.

It's not that I "need" ducts with the BBK, it's that they are already there and installed. If I can use them by just buying an optional adapter, I'll do that. If not...well then they'll be pulled.

Thanks for the template info, forgot about that! I'll make one soon and pull the wheels to see if it'll fit.

If you end up having to buy new wheels take a look at the Endurance kit it has an adapter for brake ducts.
