Like this thread... looks like you are really enjoying the car.
Nitto NT-01's are great DOT-R track tires with good heat cycle characteristics...bang for the buck hard to beat and no real issues with street use.

Just got back from another fun weekend at Sebring with Chin Motorsports.
Charles Espenlaub, pro driver for Fall Line Motorsports driving the GTD Audi R8 in the Tudor series (ALMS/GrandAm merger) was at Sebring testing with a World Challenge team campaigning an R8 GT3 car, and he wanted to see what the BRZ was like, as he's never driven one, so I tossed him the keys! He loved the car, couldn't believe how well it drove and handled, and how it was just a point and shoot car. I was glad to get good feedback from him, especially after putting the @Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2's on, having someone like him give me feedback on the car setup was fantastic. Here's a lap of him driving it: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-qDQ2d7vas"]Espenlaub in the BRZ at Sebring - YouTube[/ame] Also, here's the best I could wring out of it this weekend with the NT01s; a 2:39.15, which is 0.02 seconds slower than my best with the PSS, but there was about a 30*f ambient temp difference, and my PSS fast lap was after a long cool-down period and then did a flying lap, whereas my 2:39 on NT01s was in the middle of a series of hard laps, so I'm sure I had some timing being pulled with the higher oil temps. Espenlaub makes it look easy. Did you time his laps in your car?
Glad you had a great weekend. I finally ordered an AP harness bar yesterday and will be getting the same belts soon to use with a HANS. |

I'm actually going to ride up to AMP where Discovery Parts are on site and I'm going to buy the belts and hardware from them and have them help install. Want to be sure they are correct plus I can get a nice discount through a friend who's an employee. |

Got it on a dyno today for some "baseline" numbers, kinda. (Has a drop-in filter and modified snorkel....)
I was pleased with the results:

Just got a great deal from @YDNA on some Ground Control (lowering) camber plates and Robispec rear mounts that add more room for travel.
Cleaned up, waiting new bearings from Ground Control (just some preventative maintenance while they're apart) and then will be adding some Whiteline adj swaybar end links, and trying out some 560# springs. Probably won't have the coilovers off until later this summer and will add all these parts, then another alignment and corner balance.

He's the new event manager for Chin Motorsports so he's been busy traveling around to tracks all over the country recently!
I'm not stalking him we're just friends on Facebook, and I'm jealous of his awesome job, lol
