13s are not going to stay on dealer lots all that long. if you wait, you will just keep waiting for 15s then hear what they will do in 16 and wait for that too, lol...

I don't think that's true, demand IS slowing. I saw a raven at a local dealer sit for a week and a half out front with balloons tied to it. This is the same dealer that told me six months ago they were incapable of getting me an FRS.

I was in the same boat as you. I have been following this car since it was the GT-86 concept a few years ago. I knew one day I would own one, but I was just not sure when. I figured I was in no rush since my current car still runs fine and I don't really *need* a new car. Plus, the longer I waited, the more money I would have saved up. My friends knew that I loved the car and would always ask me when I was going to buy it.

Then I woke up last Monday and decided "today's the day". I was tired of waiting. So I called work and took the day off, went to the dealership, and the rest as they say is history. I have no regrets whatsoever. If you are financially ready and you truly want the car and are in a place in your life where you can buy, then do it.

You only live once, and you can't take it with you.

Also I want the bugs to be fixed, and Ill have a few extra bucks for some cosmetic mods...as for touch display, Aftermarket upgrade is you're best bet. Trust me on that
Just tell your dealer you want the fixes before delivery....

OEMs do running changes, they may add new items and features for a new year, but fixes happen during any model year.
The car was introduced in 2011. Production started in Feb, so that's already a year and 4 months. If you look at The TSBs you see the changes to production and the dates whitch occur throughout the year.
No need to wait.. Unless you want to pay a bit more and possibly get a new radio. As far as resale value goes it won't matter much if its 13 or 14.. Mileage will make the difference, not the year unless there are more desirable options between years. Besides.. They are rare right now.. And you get to be all jacked and cool.. People will look at you.. Your car actually..

but why not wait anyways its only a matter of time, and if the 14s aren't that great, I'm 100% sure there will be some 13s still left over and the dealers will almost have no choice but to lower it a little

If you wait you until they at least release more info on the '14 that may make the decision a bit easier. Otherwise if you are financially able to get a '13 there is no reason to wait. Colder climate states may still have a significant inventory of the FRS/BRZ so you could probably buy the car via internet and have the car shipped down.

More fun to drive it than wait for it.. Reason enough.. The OP was excited to get one.. Enjoy some excluvisity while you can.. If there were anything special about the 14s .. This place would already know.. And when have you seen next model years with the same or lower price?

i'm just as excited to get one, but I'm just waiting out on the 14s anyways. Imo it's more better to do so. YES it is more exciting to just drive it, but he's not going to die in a month, he has his life to live, patience can take you to great heights, rushing up a mountain will only make you more tired. if you get what I mean, but it's up to OP lol this is just my opinion. I prefer waiting, who knows, maybe he wants that new standard head unit. But i didn't say next model year as less, i meant the 2013 model year. If there are 2014 model years on the lot, you think anyone will look at the 2013 model year and say "ooo i like that number, ill take that instead"

Who cares just buy one. If this car really is as important as people make it out to be I'm happy to have a 2013 model for collectible purposes. First car I've ever bought that I plan on keeping after its paid off.
