I doubt we'll see a price jump like that. As I've said before, the BRZ Limited is worth about 27K MSRP to me. Beyond that and it becomes a REALLY hard sell. There are other options at the price point that I would have to consider (used of course, but still, a 08/09 S2K CR for less money would be hard for me to resist).

No disappointment, No state tax for where I'm from (not MD). So I guess I should have been a little bit more specific in my post. $27,000-ish.

huh No MD state tax? we're from the same state right, and hmmm zaku hopes premium isn't too far from 25K, from the materials the parts and everything 25K can get a really nice MX5 :/

Over 25k is a deal breaker for me. Added to the pressure of extremely high gas prices this summer, the modest mpg figure for MT, the premium fuel required, the likely more expensive insurance (I'm under 25)… don’t know that I can pull the trigger on this purchase as much as I want to. I’m starting to shop around with different possibilities, Mazda 3 Skyactiv being one of them. Right now it’s a tough decision for me. If the price tag is more than 25k it will make it a lot easier for me to walk away, albeit very disappointed.

How many of you who already put down a deposit have not heard anything from your dealer yet about a march 1st preorder? I just spoke to my salesperson and he still knows nothing about preordering and pricing. Additionally, they still have no plans on how much over or under MSRP they'll be selling it at. I'm feeling very nervous because this is the same dealer that wanted 42k OTD for a base 4-door sti

No we are not from the same state and I believe MD has a 6% tax?

I want the limited, but I would deal with a few less options and get the premium if the price is right. If not, I have some other toys in mind.

Enjoy.
Ok two things that strike me as odd.
One such a huge gap in the gas milage between the manual and auto. I could understand maybe 1 at the most 2 MPG difference. But come on...you're telling me there's a 3-4 MPG Penalty for a manual??!!! That make NO Sense!!! I've been dreaming of owning a manual again after years of not having one...this has me rethinking that, if it's true.
Second, the front brakes are THAT MUCH smaller than the rears? Is there any other cars out there with that kind of set up? itty bitty front brakes and BIG back brakes? Where is the weight force during stopping? That's just weird.
Finally I haven't even thought this until now; if they get stupid with the price I will drive a "stripped down" FR-S. I'm ok with up to about 28K MSRP but after that I get something else... and I'm pretty close to their target demographics. I usually buy 2 year old low milage used cars. This one has me really thinking of getting a new one but now I'm not so sure.
This car just got really weird on me.

Guys be nice, he's living a good life he highly likely earned his way there, no need to be hazing him. That's for the forum above.

Has the MPG been confirmed?? This seems like way to big of a gap to be true...
