I've also been at MS for 7 1/2 years now. I'm actually below most others in my peer group.

Yep I agree, and many times people will form the wrong opinions about you if they know.

Assumed that's likely who you worked for. Granted they aren't the only one, but..

You started there young.. I didn't know they hired that young.

they generally don't... I got hired 3 months out of high school. most of our recruiting is college grads and industry hires with 5+ years experience.

If the FR-S comes in at 24k (and honestly that seems high) can Subaru really justify a 3k+ jump just because "The idea is to keep it rare"? I mean its essentially the same car with HIDs and a nav. Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself but ~26-27k for the premium seems unjustifiable.

The auto gas mileage is more than I expected to see from this car. But I want the manual. Why such a huge difference???
Newer AT's are Much better then they used to be and this one with lock up torque converter in 2nd through 6th with with what has been described as surprisingly quick shift times means no far less loss.

"The idea is to keep it rare and keep the demand high"

I don't see this statement having too much effect on the price, I see it more on the amount of vehicles released. I hope...

Anything more than $27,000 OTD for the limited and I would pass.

I'm just saying, based off the info Z posted, some people were saying the price may be higher than the original speculation. So I was saying if the FRS is the "affordable young car," and the BRZ is the rare enthusiasts car, I'm not sure a huge price jump would be justifiable since the cars are practically the same.

The Limited was never going to be less than 27K OTD near launch. Even assuming a LOW tax rate of 5%, a normal admin fee of $500 and say $250 for tag/title work you are looking at a purchase of a BRZ Limited at ~25,000 purchase price (or 24,200 before destination). I don't think anyone expects that.. well not until good VIP level (and/or employee pricing) becomes possible, and even then it's a stretch I think.
