Lol ...

That is exactly what my wife is saying about me right now and my obsession with this car. If I show her one more of Zaku's new DGM pictures, I think she is going to bury me in the backyard.

The mpg is definitely not real world, this car must not "test" well. My 3,500 lbs. 250hp 2.5 liter turbo boxer gets 30mph on the highway with a 5-speed manual and a stupidly short 5th gear that means I'm roaring at almost 3,500 rpm while doing it.

There's no way that a car that weighs more than 700 lbs less, has 50 less horsepower, half a liter less displacement and a whole extra gear is getting worse mileage. I don't care how high the compression ratio is, there's no way this car gets less than 35 mpg on the highway.

Good info. Seems weird that Japanese city cycle is close to EPA HWY #s.
That's some quick steering.
Don't care about target demographics. I only care about the price. If it's pushing 30k msrp - those 50yr/olds can have at it

Just got some interesting news from my dealer...he says he is expecting deliveries to start in MARCH. He said he will know for sure when the cars will be coming in on March 2nd when I have an appointment to meet with the sales manager. The dealer I'm working with says they already have a few deposits already, but I will still be getting one of the cars from the first shipment.

So March...if that's true I guess I'll be putting down a slightly smaller down payment than I had expected! lol

Buying a 27k or so car (based on limited pricing) on 50K salary probably isn't the best move. That's not to say people won't, my brother just bought a 28k truck on just under 50k income but I would never consider making that purchase at that income level. I do budget a bit over 10% of my income to my car account though.

Lol yeah I almost tripped when he said March. I asked him to clarify that he meant customer cars, and that's what he said. March. I dunno where he's getting his info from, lol.

Agreed.

"The idea is to keep it rare and keep the demand high"

If this is true then this might not be the car we were expecting. Just give us pricing already.

Yeah $30k is too much...we are in 370Z territory! what happened to less than current WRX pricing?

Oh I see now $30k will all options....including automatic...still too high...

$27K is less than the avg price of a new car. But I see your point.
