I completely agree. Will be real interesting now to see the price difference between the FRS and BRZ.

Yeah, sounds like they're not gonna try to keep the price too low. I'm fine with "keep it rare and the demand high" as long as the enthusiasts are able to order the car and receive it in a reasonable time frame. Really wish that picture of the may timeline went a little farther right. Are they saying demo cars will be arriving in May? Which means deliveries won't start till June?

Fuel economy is a little worst than I expected. Median age I expected, median income is higher than expected but based on some of the people here and what they are driving already it's maybe accurate.

Odd.. I don't see the Civic Si or Genesis Coupe as 'median age 47' types of cars. I feel like those are more of a median age of like 22. Not really sure how this market targeting works, but all of those cars are in the mid-20s USD price-wise so I guess, everything is still on tack in that regard. |

Wouldn't the MT get better gas mileage? Considering the fact that the Auto is a conventional auto?

The problem with 'median age' is that it is always skewed high. Not a whole lot of people 22 or younger will be buying Miatas and Genesis Coupes new. Most can't afford them. But a lot of older, more well established people can. Even Scion as an entire brand has an average age higher than you'd think. |

Besides the median age, I fit the targeted demographic pretty well. The average income level they are targeting seems pretty high though. Maybe it's 'household income' rather than individual income?

MT = 22/30/25 (city/hwy/comb)
AT = 25/34/28 The auto gas mileage is more than I expected to see from this car. But I want the manual. Why such a huge difference??? |

The auto has better mileage then the manual?
That doesn't make sense considering the extra weight and usually auto is always a little bit lower mpg then manual. Spoke with SoJ today. She said prices will be 25-30. Orders go out Monday or Tuesday. Just relaying what I was told. I'm thinking I will be more then happy with a SWP premium model. Get a nice suspension, Bronze TE-37s, intake, unequal headers , exhaust, tune.Call it a day! Can't wait to be back in a Subaru! |

I'm close to the median age and I bet that it is individual income, if indeed the limited comes in at 30k ish....

The median age and income demographic make it seem like a "mid-life crisis" sort of car. I would have thought the age group would have been closer to 30-35 and $50k income.
It doesn't matter though as these are just preliminary marketing numbers and the true feedback will come when we start taking delivery of our vehicles and skewing their data. |
