One of the worst badge engineering vehicles is the Mitsubishi Eclipse / Eagle Talon /Plymouth Laser. Because under the flag of DSM (mistu-chrysler), they tried to weasle their way into the american sports car segment to combat japanese competitors to sell more cars under several different flags. Basically, too many greedy hands trying to make money out of the venture.

The best badge engineered vehicle IMO to date is the Holden Monaro / Vauxhuall Monaro / Pontiac GTO.

A colab, vehicle is a slightly different venture than badge engineering. Because both developing parties put stake and funds into the development of a chassis which is counter-productive to badge engineering.

The Chevy Cavalier and Toyota whatever you call it was another one.

This is a collaboration, not badge engineering!

The worst j can think of was the French attempt of DSM-style marketing was the Renault 5 Turbo & the "Le Car".

How about when Dodge made the Neon, and then they put a front and rear Plymouth badge on it and called it the Plymouth Neon? There were literally no differences in the vehicles.

The most egregious example that I can think of is the Aston Martin Cygnet (Toyota IQ).

The laziest example I can think of is the MB/Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter. Same headlights, same bumpers, same white paint, same freaking model name.

Ok guys, I see how it is.

I'm just a troll.....

And everyone is going to make fun of me for posting my opinion.....

"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself"

Yep, I did all what was stated above....

I'm in High School, and have a higher maturity level than some of you guys on the forum.

I wish you all the best of luck.

Just outta high school here, and not so long ago either. Just sayin' because the car isn't even out, so I don't think we can say it's the worst.

Yes, I remember a kid in school had a Stealth, the one below is close replica of what it looked like. He thought it was soooo sweet. hahaha. I didn't share the same opinion.

In my VERY honest opinion to the OP whether it be him trolling or not.

I'm curious to know about your priorities. You're 17. You're what... a junior in H.S? Or a young Senior?

You're going to drop 10k as a DP for the FRS/BRZ as the FIRST thing you plan on doing? You don't plan on furthering your education? Did you think about how your interest rates are going to be since you're a brand new buyer with no credit history? You'll be out of a job. You have nothing to fall back on.

Mommy and Daddy is going to Co-sign for you? Ok, well what happens when you fall behind a payment? Mommy and daddy aren't going to be so happy if you plan on blowing everything you have on a car.

How are you going to afford insurance? Gas?

If you're going to college where are you going to stay to study? Can you even afford college + the payments? How are you going to afford food? Entertainment? Social life?

In all honesty, I think you'll be bound to fail. Your car will be taken away from you by the bank, you'll go hungry, parents will probably kick you out for making a stupid decision, and you'll probably regret making that decision. I don't see any maturity in here.

You're not a cool badass by doing what you're doing. Maturity doesn't just come in forms of how people talk. Its involves, actions, responsibilities, and priorities.

Random Comments:
- There are BIG differences between priorities and beliefs.

You contradicted yourself by saying you're buying this car even though your thread states "Worst Badge Engineered Vehicles." So you're spending money on a car (branded or not) that you think is terrible?
- Kidwonder, you're still a kid. You've been identified-in this thread-as a troll by saying how mature you are when you think putting a 10k DP for a car that hasn't come out yet is a 'clever' idea.
