seems like the standard is about 500$, but We've heard $300 and $1000

If I can get away with 3bills and it's refundable, I'll try to do it at both Scion and Subie dealerships. Btw, for anyone who lives around the SGV area in Cali, what's some good Scion/Subie dealerships that I should visit? (I'd like to avoid Longo, cuz I refuse to pay the taxes to corrupt City of El Monte).

Oh, by the way, when we put down the deposit, do we have to specify which color/trim we want?

As a side note, most of the dealers do not cash your check, until you actually purchase. That seems to be the case for most people on the forum, however my dealer cashed mine, which I'm ok with..

And the same dealer didn't cash my 1k check

not sure why :shrug:

I guess I should check again I rarely check that account since its only used for car stuff.
