Yes but what we think is that is coming just from the one dealer in Maryland. Which dealer? Trying to verify with other dealers

so guys would it be worthwhile to start a GB with Subaru of Irvine as an alternative?

we can start taking names on the list.

since they are on my way back from work, i can stop by and arrange the negotiation.

Im going to start a thd in the CA thd. perhaps leverage the two dealers against eachother.

What's a GB and thd? Which other dealer are you talking about?

Should probably ask that in your region specific forum it's easier that way, because you'll have more Californians with you !

I'm gonna sit and wait to see who in MD get their cars first XD maybe they'll let me see it

in the regional / CA thd. Giccin had worked out a deal with Subaru of PH for a GB. however, in the past few weeks, the dealership have decided to reserve their commitment to our GB which irritate a lot of GB forum member. Keep in mind that many forum member have already put down a 500 deposit.

I still relatively used by that dealership. Scumbag fucking dealer. Lol

Funny thing is I spoke with Irvine about a group deal, but I spoke directly with the GM. I should've spoke with an actual dealer. Beeeh. Lol

If anything I'll be using the VIP program. :E

i wouldnt worry too much. you took the first step in organizing the GB when no dealership is willing to take on such task.

im sure in the months to come, there will be plenty of dealership that wished they would have jumped on board when they had the chance.

with the lessons learned from the PH GB, we can now better negotiate with Irvine on more realistic terms.

Lol. They made me feel like a used target panty.

Edit: Just a remind if you guys want to do a GB with Irvine Subaru. If you mention the GB to Desiree and that PH pulled a dirty panty I think they'll still do a 300 above dealer invoice.

Just to satisfy my own curiosity, what is with all the love for a GB of this car? I've participated in GBs for parts and custom fabricated pieces before, but that was always because there is a certain cost to manufacture/acquire such pieces and a GB made it feasible/cheaper due to the large quantity we would get.

Until this forum, I've never heard of doing a GB for a brand new car that hasn't been released yet. To me, it seems like you aren't gaining much other than putting yourself behind others on a list. I find it hard to believe that you are going to get a dealer to commit to selling the car at a low price to many people just to move quantity. There will be a limited quantity available so the dealer will not have any trouble moving them with or without a GB.

A GB makes sense if you want to get a car that is sitting on a lot (or readily available) as the dealer can get as many cars as they can sell, ie an impreza for example. In that scenario the dealer has motivation to come up with great pricing because they will make 8 or 10 sales that they might not otherwise make. With this car, it will probably be at least 6 to 9 months before you find one of these cars sitting on the lot due to lack of a buyer.

Just curious to see what people are hoping to gain going that route.
