MK4 / A80 Toyota Supra appeciation thread

Very good looking Supra. I don't see a turbo (not end all be all-yet still a cool factory option). Keeping the car depends on your financial situation and how much the car means to you. I just sold my 05 tC (I know, not even close to a Supra). Yet I bought the car brand new in 05 and put in so much time and money into it. Lots of good memories in that car. I although I have had no remorse in my decision to sell it. I needed the money to help me buy a ring for my girlfriend. Therefore the car was not that important to me because I would be happier to pay for a ring in full. So, I really enjoy the FRS as a daily driver for now until I can afford a second vehicle in the next 2 years. Choice is yours. Cheers.

Damn how much did you spend? I just went through the same thing. Paid cash for that puppy. Never understood why people buy expensive rings and then finance them. Also don't goto the big box stores. Do your HW on diamonds. For rings check out blue nile

I am going to be forking out 9k total. I went through a local store/mom and pop shop. They are getting me a good deal on everything. Thanks for the advice. Congrats to you!

Stock MKIV turbos are on the left that's what they look like.

Maybe I am missing something. Because I know the MKIV Supra quite well (been my dream car for 15 years). I do not see the twin turbos on the passenger side. Help me out here if I have overlooked them.

Gotcha now. I was looking for turbines and now I can where they are with more an aerial view. I am so used to seeing all of them in single turbo conversions. What a timeless and well engineered machine. I want one so bad! Probably going to wait until my mid thirties. Thanks for the help.

You can't know the supra that well if you don't know what the OEM turbos look like :P

You got me. I should indeed know that stock setup much better. I always read about the 93-98 model differences every once in a while for a refresher. Yet I always have neglected what the twin turbo set up looks like under the hood. Albeit knowing about the beauty, strength, and quality of the 2JZGTE. Man, I wish I had one of those!

totally late to this party, but just wanted to say keep the Supra and sell it to me for peanuts when it hits 25 years old. I mean c'mon, who wants a 25 year old car? amirite?

Seriously though, I was searching for a clean MKIV for a good month before I pulled the trigger on my FRS. The only ones I could find that I'd feel comfortable daily driving were priced quite a bit more than a new FRS. I would definitely not sell your Supra, if you do you will regret it, trust me on that...

I regret selling my previous 2 Miata's, I only take solace in that it helped pay for my schooling. I bought my current Miata about 3 years ago, and I will never part with it...
