Yeah. Part it out or sell it as a roller now.

Take it to a couple body repair shops, get some quotes and get it fixed haha. This is one of those reasons on why I'm getting Rally armor.

Exactly.

Good advice.

Clark Howard says about both auto and home owner's insurance, "Use it, and LOSE it."

Use your insurance for BIG problems that you cannot absorb yourself. So, maybe raise your deductible, while you're at it. Self-insure the "small" stuff. Make a claim and, over time, the insurance company will get their money back, with interest. Count on it.

Your collision policy would cover this loss but, as you know, your deductible is more than the cost of repair would be. If the object that hit your car was a missile it would be covered under the comprehensive portion of your policy and perhaps your deductible is less than your collision deductible or perhaps, like some, you might have zero deductible under your comprehensive cover. A missile could be something that fell off another vehicle, perhaps thrown out of another vehicle, kicked up by another cars tires, falling rocks or a tire that blows up on a vehicle in front and next to you that a fragment flew into your car. If that object is moving when it hits your car, it's a comprehensive loss. If it has stopped moving and you strike it, it is a collision loss. If you ever have something like this happen check with your insurance company. I've never known of a comprehensive claim to have any impact on a persons insurance rates. Comp claims are considered non-chargeable.

Sand anything that sits proud, apply touchup, then use [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Langka-LANGKA-The-Blob-Eliminator/dp/B000BAT622"]this[/ame]. You'll be needing it soon for your front bumper and hood if you don't already.
