Balls.
I learned today that the kart track that's within an hour of my place does not allow cars on track. FUCK They only rent out their road course, but it's 400 bucks an hour!!! Um... pass. Well, public roads it is... |

So I might be going wide body soon. I might hold off on new wheels for a bit and would just run some large spacers instead. So my question is, would running a 50mm spacer be ok to drift with? Or would it cause unnecessary wear and tear to the car being spaced that far out

The car doesn't know if the wheel is far out due to offset or a spacer...

IDK what size wheels to get. i want full functionality since my friends like to road race, but my build is strictly for daily drifter. only lowering as low as i can go without screwing up the suspension geometry. and want something that will look good on the car, so flush to semi flush. i know im going to want more angle down the road so clearance is an issue too

i think im down to 17 or 18. i know 17 are lighter so they will serve the purpose on the road course. idk what the benefits are from running 18 inch wheels besides filling up the wells nicer

Benefits? None. Purely cosmetic on a car of this weight and power.

so 17x8 +35 with 235/45 all around would work, with the stocks on the back at the drift events of course.

Based on my research - yes.
Not speaking from experience though. |

I finally too my cars to adams motorsports park here in Ca. I am having trouble with a corner that I have to initiate with the e brake. Because of the drum set up I dont feel like its getting enough bite. Anyone else have this issue? And I do need to tighten the cable but still am not getting enough force.

One method I've used for certain circumstances combines three techniques. Feint motion while kicking the clutch and then once you set your angle, pull the handbrake. It's a bit weird at first if you've never done it but if you use the weight of the car through the feint and kick the clutch at the right time, it works every time.

Yeah, the way around is called fi lol
Got reminded again today, that I am a racer first and a drifter second... First track day. Damn, what a chassis. But the brakes are a joke. Even for the stock power and tires... |
