The GM motor is smaller because of its single cam design. Reason why Toyota can get more power than the GM motors. Just have to spend more $/hp for the Toyota than the GM.

It really does suck that he went that route. smh.

LS7 is around 210kg, 2UR as best info i can find is around 220kg, so really nothing in it for weight.

No hate on the ls7 at all, just think the Lexus v8 sounds nicer imo that's all.

When it comes to power and performance......the tone is last on my mind.

I understand but the 2UR obviously doesn't have the aftermarket like the LS. It's just an opinion dude and I respect yours. For the purpose of building a racecar, it makes complete sense for orido to put an LS in the twins.

Well he was having issues with the 2UR wasn't he? (didn't he go through like 3 or something?)

You just can't go wrong with an LS swap. Nothing really beats the size/performance/price/aftermarket of an LS when it comes to V8's. Sacriligious in some cases yes, but they're like the Hondas engines of the V8 world. The safe and reliable swap.

I personally wouldn't do it, but I like being different.

LS7's are some of my favorite engines, nothing beats a 427.

Too bad they keep wasting them on corvettes and a camaro no one will ever buy.

Tell you what... You say that the 1,2,3ur engines don't have the aftermarket to compete with the ls7?? Ill say this.... http://www.ttcperformanceproducts.com/ttcpe1twtuki.html and im done. I want you to find this for GM. Bet that GM motor won't last
