Is there any chance of being able to get one that has an '86' instead of the Japanese writing?

Thread Resurrection go~!
its too bad the cafe press stickers are so poorly made. I had to leave mine on the backing paper because the oval is off center and the ink is so thin its impossible to see without a white background behind it. Im going to be scanning the sticker and using a borrowed vinyl cutter to create a decal for myself. I will not be seilling this decal for obvious reasons. However, if Hanzo would like to sell this design or work with a vinyl guy to put out die cut vinyls for the masses, I can facilitate that exchange, but myself I am no artist nor am I a professional vinyl guy. |

Thanks for the resurrection. A forum I used to belong to had a lot of folks who used grafixpressions, they seemed to do a good job.
I like a subtle sticker. That way anyone you piss off in traffic can't find you online so easily. :p No but seriously it's a cleaner look. Bold stickers are played out. |

Is there any way you could make one thats rectangular? I'm not a big fan of oval stickers on cars... I feel the shape conflicts with body lines.
Something like the nasioc stickers that we can put at the bottom of our windows or something ![]()

oval and circle decals are very difficult to get right. They usually symbolize a sort valued ownership on the vehicle. Much like vehicles with xxth anniversary tags, or rare vehicle trims.
rectangular decals are more designated for advertisement, which is why club decals are usually rectangular in nature. Especially because it has a web address on it. I personally love Hanzo's oval emblem, because it makes owning a BRZ/FRS/GT86 AND being part FT86club seem much more than just being part of a auto club.

I agree completely with WoW -- the oval design and type face, the spacing, it all seems to have been done to give the FT86 Club sticker the feel similar to that of traditional UK/Japan tuning clubs/enthusiast clubs.
Its definitely not for everyone, but I love his design so much I took a high res photo of the one shipped to me, retraced it painstakingly in Adobe Illustrator, saved it to a vector graphic file, and then sent it out to a vinyl cutting printer device that I am borrowing temporarily from my friend's company. All that just so I could have 2 die cut white vinyl decals for my 86. ~

I feel like our decal needs to be something much more than just a sticker with ft86club.com on it. A plenty of us poured our heart and soul into this forum, and now that the twins are out..we will see much more people joining the family.

Thanks guys, I haven't put the decal from cafepress on yet (car is not here yet) but from what I can see, it's pretty decent quality decal. I do like how the print is very light and subtle (probably will be simi-transparent when it's on the window). Problem with vinyl decal is it's solid color, it pops a bit too much IMO. I will take some photo of it on my car when I take delivery.

I forgot to take pics of the semi clear sticker thing from cafe press, but trust me when I say its 99.9% invisible and impossible to read when applied to clear glass. May look better against light shades of paint. Probably looks VERY good against the hot lava paint and white.
