Or if the bolts were there they were never torqued and fell off. That explains why it was loud immediately after install, not gradually as the bolts "loosened."

Geez man... I parked my car with two wheels on a curb, and literally dragged myself under the car in a horrifically claustrophobic experience to install my J2, and even then, the midpipe bolts didn't even get loose till about 250 miles :P (at which point I bought new hardware and put it on a lift like I should've done in the first place... *facepalm)

Is it possible for a dealer to miss a leaking exhaust in a multi point inspection?
I recently got a used one and sometimes the drone is super loud, frustrated me going anywhere above 70 on the highway, specifically when coasting (foot off the gas so car is pushing the engine). I had it inspected by a toyota dealer and they signed off on it, but is an exhaust leak hard to notice? Edit: I plan on going to a meet asap to hear other peoples exhausts so that i have a baseline for loud/quiet/drony/raspy but Im kind of impatient as this is the one thing bothering me about the car so far bibbity boppity give me the zoppity |
