one hint... if you think you should ask on a forum if *you should*... and you already have all the information within hands (price, mileage, age,) to make *your* choice... it's probably because it's a bad idea....
would I do that... no... I already have a BRZ ![]() but.... sometimes... we do irrational choice.... this one could be yours

I agree with the people who say to just get a brand new suspension/set of springs for your Toyota. Way more cost efficient and smart.

Yeah don't do it, he'll get the better end of the deal. Just swap parts like others have said already.

No! That's a no no. If I could have all those options in an FR-S here in Canada, I wouldn't even THINK about buying a BRZ. You could get springs for less than the $500 he's going to pay you.
Personally, I think he's not happy with his BRZ and he's trying to find anyone who'll be dumb enough to give up their top-specced 86 for a year older BRZ. Don't fall for it just because you wanted a BRZ initially. If you really want a BRZ, don't take his. Sell your 86 and use that money to buy a new BRZ. You'll lose FAR LESS money this way, and your car will still be new. |

First your sell 86 thread, now this? You really can't wait to get out of the 86 can you?
Here's a better idea: 1. Order a Subaru BRZ online (or use Caradvice's car purchasing service which apparently can find cars for delivery within the month at or below RRP) 2. Wait 1-4 months for it to arrive 3. Take delivery of BRZ 4. List your 86 at RRP (you should be able to sell given the current hyperinflated second hand carsales prices) 5. A winrar is you. You'll basically make about $2000 and get a brand new BRZ. |

![]() Maybe we should all just tell him to do the trade just so he realizes how bad of a deal it was once he's already gone through with it. |
