Anyone else considering getting OptiCoat on their FRS? If so, where were you considering getting it done/by whom? I was looking at Dust2Glory or ProReflection but wanted to see if anyone else has/will do it in the area.

I like the result but 300-500 isnt something I'm used to pay at once to keep a car looks good even though I'm sure it worths it. How about some of us joint in do a DIY group opti coat? A saturday of my time probably worths 300 bucks

Lol since we are basically Mutts (mixed) we need to find a corner and park there.lol.Unless we can find a spot next to the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe.

We can just park next to the Saturn Sky Pontiac Solstice group.

I'd say park with the subies since every body panel has Subaru stamped right on it. If anyone complains just point to the door plaque where it says "Fuji Heavy Industries"

Hmm, I think I figured out why the BRZ is selling out so fast. I keep seeing "used" ones pop up at 3rd party dealers on autotrader for right around $35k. Bunch of schmucks.

Two weeks ago a sales guy at Charles Maund called me and told me they have a black FR-S instock and it was used. He said one of the departments managers had bought one and change his mind so he is reselling it. They wanted $28,000+. I almost wanted to burst out laughing and ask him "Are you high?I am not paying that much for a used FR-S?"

I forgot to mention. The black one they were offering was a manual with no options. I politely ask was it a an automatic and what option did it have. The guy told me no options and it was a manual. I again politely said I decline and would continue to wait for my whiteout.

so i was driving home from work. Monday syndrome like everyone else.

at a red light, a black base red stripe Shelby sitting on 19" paints the perfect contrast to my pearl white curvy FR-S. Mustang may not make my pants wet but Shelby is a beast and my hand was out of my windows fixing to give a thumbsup. He beat me to it. Window down, he had shades on, extending his hand he gave me a gesture that took me a full second to comprehend. It's this hand gesture that Bruce Lee does to call guys to attack him, in today body language: "come at me bro".

realizing, i don't have the tiniest chance in the 500ft straight before the highway ramp, i gave him a shoulder shrug. in today body language: "don't let me catch you at a curvy road you overweight snake".

still a nice car though, wish his owner wasn't such a prick.

I don't know if he was a prick, maybe he just wanted to have some fun with the fancy new sports car on the road.

I always knew Maund was a bunch of jackasses. Make sure to give scion corporate a call and let them know that they are defeating the whole purpose of pure price and that it's really soured you on the Scion brand.

I dont know about that yet. I am getting the windows tinted at Sun Tint, their top of line tinting will cost us $319. They had a heat lamp testing thinggy. This stuff is amazing!!! Almost no heat went through.

Here are the prices.
Carbon: $219
Entry Ceramic: $269
Infrared Ceramic: $319

I'm defiantly getting the Infrared Ceramic

Nice - I was just looking into tinting places. I was a little concerned with Sun Tint, but only because they had a couple 1 star reviews. Sounds like you had a good talk with the rep there though, so hopefully they'll take care of you. Let me know how yours comes out - I'm seriously considering it too.
