I like the list that you have compiled, with an alternate NAFBOC if NABFOC sounds too much like another word...personally I don't have a problem with NABFOC, but I'm clearly biased.

-Needs to involve both Toyota and Subaru
-Start our own thing, don't climb on nasioc's back(try to not have "north american" and "owners club" in it at the same time)
-Has to flow off the tongue
-Simple

Quick ideas without giving it much thought

Wasn't there a mention earlier in the thread about not using Subaru or Toyota names in the club name for legal reasons (copyrights etc)?

If think if it was a non-profit and you talked to Subaru/Toyota before hand they wouldn't have a problem. There are plenty of owners clubs throughout the country that use legal names(corvette, impreza, etc).

I actually like SOCA too...(prounouncing it SOCA as in So Ka, not as in Sammy Sosa)

How about spelling it Subiyota? Flow more smoothly than Suboyata...and still lets us keep SOCA. Also wouldn't have to deal with using copyrighted names at all so it would be a non issue.

Actually...the more I think about it the more I really like that. Subiyota(sue bee yo ta). It actually sounds like a real Japanese word.
