I've gotten the back slide out on a mildly wet road (few hours after the rain stopped) with the VSC and TC on. It really depends on the particular road (some pavement gets more slippery than others, painted roads lines get slippery too if he crossed the center line) and what the driver did, VSC can't fix everything.

EMBARRASSING? That is nothing compared to what happened to this RX-8. It was much worse for the RX-8 community, no passengers but the driver survived

You can do this on purpose, sure. Normal driving - unlikely.

Once my stock tires began to wear, I noticed the car getting a little slide-happy on wet surfaces under normal driving conditions. It may also be due to the fact I am used to AWD vehicles, but in such a light car with the wrong tires, unintentional sliding is a real possibility.

For all we know, the driver could have lost control while trying to avoid an obstacle, like a deer or a small child. Anyone who judges a driver with so little information is asking to look like a fool if this turns out to truly just be an accident.

The BRZ is the cheapest car on my policy. My Jeep is about 2k for 6 months (apparently a high theft car in this area), My Prius 3 is at $1200 vs the BRZ being about $800 for 6 months of insurance. Granted I have several tickets and an accident on my record + i'm 25.
