I'm looking at getting Bilstein shocks. How are the OTS ones? Or is it better to get custom valved right away for autocross?

OTS is good and an improvement over stock, but custom valved is a world better. They will make the car generally uncomfortable for DD though. OTS is pretty much as comfortable for DD as the stock.

Yeah. I shouldn't say super-heavily scrutinized, but they looked at and asked about springs, sway bars, ECU, etc. I honestly think it was more "does this guy know the rules?" than anything. I had a front sway bar, catback and tires in CSR at the time.

So is it legal to run 17x7.5 rear wheels since the TRD wheels (port installed?) are 18x7 front and 18x7.5 rear?
And what offset are the TRD 18x7/ 18x7.5 wheels? |

Offset is +35. If you find documentation, you won't be the only one with a set.

So I have to ask...Would most people on here think there would be a benefit to wider rear wheels?
I am struggling to get my car to rotate on throttle as is, and I know of at least two other people who've had the same issue. Maybe something in my setup is all wrong, but for now I feel like more rear traction is the last thing I need. |

Now...the TRD wheels are not C Street legal. I put that shit in bold so if anybody misses it, I'm gonna make fun of them. That said running mismatched wheel widths with a stock motor in this car is batty. Some of you guys think this car has Z06 power or something, and you're running mismatched tires with 1/4" toe in. If the car is too loose it's a suspension tuning problem, not a "zomg not enough grip for how much powah I have" problem. I'm gonna have my morning coffee now and settle down. I'd run the wider wheels to get better transient response at a minimum.

Combine the wider rear wheels with my Hotchkis bar and I can just pretend to turn.

Dont think the wheels are port installed options. They just happen to have the same language as other port installed options on the Scion website, because they are sold without any labor charges. The way it was explained to me by the dealer, was that the wheel PNs are without tires. Thus the wheels can be bought without labor, but the in order to have them on the car and part of the sticker package, tires would be installed and charged accordingly.
