Hmm... I hope so... but I doubt the times will translate into the real world...

The 370z did a time of 1:27.5, STi of 1:28.2, Focus RS 1:29.3

So I would make a real world guess of 1:29.... but who knows...

Yes, I have the old Playseat Evo and yes the bar in the middle was in the way originally. They made the backing plate for the pedals with another set of offset mounting holes but it shifts the whole thing to the left even more while what is needed is shifting the whole thing to the right. I had to drill another set of holes so that I can shift the whole pedal assembly to the right. Now that it is done, the bar in the middle doesn't get in the way at all. The newer Playseat don't have that bar in the middle. It comes out from the seat instead. I also got the shifter holder accessory since I don't know how I can mount it other wise.

There are so many different seats in the market nowadays at different price point. The important thing is to get one. The seat and steering wheel/pedals make a huge difference.

BTW thanks for posting replays!

Good to see more activity... I know folks are busy, but there were 27 votes for these two tracks and so far we have only 7 drivers!

I have the Obutto. I'm gonna get triple monitors when I convert to PC sim racing, so gotta be prepared

For g27 I'd get the rSeat, I think it's pre-drilled for it.

Hey guys, can someone let me know if skid recovery is set to ON or OFF? It doesn't really mention it in the OP and that would make a difference in lap times, thanks.

^I set it to off. I think the only kind of aid allowed is ABS = 1 (optional) or you may set that to 0.

No driving line or any other aids
Honestly, I see no harm in traction control, it only slows you down, and grip reduction setting is unverifiable, so about zero sense of having it on the list. Driving line also unverifiable, and only distracts you. But it might help some people who are just starting on the course.

With traction control I think the fact that most of us don't use it (at least not in a car with this type of power, as you said, slows you down more often than not) but it still makes it more consistent for the sake of comparing lap times.

I think I'm definitely faster with the racing line on. I don't think I have enough track experience (none) to be able to truly judge what line I should be taking.

^This competition was the first time I turned off racing lines. I had to practice with the lines on til I could roughly anticipate every corner with some confidence. Then I turned the lines off and experimented trying to find better brake points that allowed me to carry more speed through corners. This forced every corner to be committed to memory without the lines. Eventually you know exactly to do at every corner; it just becomes a matter of executing.

Laguna Seca
1'43.984 - T13R - SixAxis - MT - All assists off, ABS 1, grip reduction real.

I can see myself dropping to a low 1'43 if I put all my sectors together. 1'42.3 is fast! Maybe if I get a chance to hook up the DF:GT I could dip into the 1'42s, otherwise 1'43 should be my limit.
