I was about to ask how much difference does a steering wheel make over a standard dualshock controller in your lap times? Then I peeked at past months competitions for comparisons and found Laguna Seca has been done before haha.

^My wheels are aftermarket. I don't recall it making a difference in PP so you should be fine.

Aftermarket wheels come in different size, so they change effective gear ratios. Is it enough of an advantage to matter in this time-trial - I doubt it.

There is no visible size option. Take any RM car and hit 'default' in the adjustable transmission menu. Record gears. Then change wheels and do the same again. "Default" gears that let you enter 'tuning prohibited' online rooms will have changed in order to maintain effective gearing the same as stock, factoring in different wheels size.

I'm under the impression that aftermarket wheels don't affect PP, but my intention was that they would still not be allowed because I thought they could be a different size or weight. If their size and weight are the same as stock, and thus they're only a cosmetic mod, then I don't care (but I'd like that confirmed before we decide to allow them).

Does anyone know one way or the other?

I improved my time a bit:
Top Gear
1:23.525 - Deslock - G27 - Paddles

If I could put together my best corners from my best few laps, I'd be about .300 quicker, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Where is everyone who voted for these tracks? Also, am I gonna be the only one who posts replays?

Hm... not sure what RM means but I took my stock FR-S with BBS wheels into an online room with "Vehicle Tuning" set to "Prohibited" in the "Regulation Settings" and was able to race (I just had to downgrade to comfort-soft tires). I kept my transmission at default stock and the gear ratios stayed the same.

If my car is valid for a Vehicle Tuning - Prohibited online event is that a good enough standard to be valid on this ft86club event? Nonetheless, I am reverting to stock wheels and keeping it that way.

An oil change makes a bigger difference. Is that allowed here?
Edit: Yes it is.

I have a stupid question. How do you get to the Top Gear test track? I went to Practice and then World Circuits but couldn't find it. Thanks.

^Go to Special Events and enter a Top Gear Test Track event (there's Easy, Medium, Hard - Medium actually being the hardest of the 3). Win gold in any one of those 3 and you'll be rewarded with access to the track.
