I can for certain trace mine back to a very STUPID thing I did last summer. On the side of the road I turned the wheel fully to the left, revved to 5500, dropped the clutch and did some rather tasty donuts ...... and man was it fun and nice and smoke and "kool". And yes I had axle hop like a mofo.....

Thats when I started noticing a VERY slight knock when taking off NORMAL from a stand still and making a slight left. It was VERY subtle and got worse and worse. Doesn't do it going right.....only left. Its gotten progressively worse and Friday we are swapping out the shaft on the drivers side.

Like all noices I'm prepared for it to be the opposite side and for it to be the DIFF. If its the differential....GAURD here we come !

Has anyone broken the driveshaft shop "600hp" axles? I know they make good DSM parts, but the 3000GT axles they made were weaker than stock.

I just ordered these. Interested to see how they will go.

Mine will probably go because I'm running a lot of low and the car gets driven pretty hard.

Google crawfords build that was the first thing that broke in there car was the cv joint Im sure someone will make a better designed one that can withstand the power

From what I have read it seems to be close to the same they used in the s2k if that's the case it will be able to hold up to more then it is rated for .

Is it only boosted or really low cars that are breaking CVs?

"Abusive" launches on sticky tires too, couple autocrossers have popped 'em.

I've got a "click" that seems to be around the driver's rear side. Audible on start of movement (sometimes), gear shifts (sometimes), and hard acceleration (sometimes). Not sure where it is at yet.

New axles arrived this morning. Looks strong as fuck. Will be on tomorrow.
